Is it a secret how much Jewel paid for her giant SHS?
I've seen her before and I don't remember drooling this much over a pony before. She's absolutely stunning!

Tornado, eh? Maybe he'd be paired with Gusty! :)
My Sunburst is together with Moonstone.

Not sure about the Big Brothers. I never had any. But Tex makes me think of the Arena member Lady Wrangler.

G1 surfs on sea pony shells, G3 didn't have any sea ponies or other marine friends to visit, G3.5 have heads full of air and thus they float, G4 are deadly afraid of water!

Why doesn't the Merry Go Rounds have poles through their backs?

Pink. With a colour so overused one can't help but find the fugly ponies in that group ...
Not that there aren't gorgeous pink ponies too, of course.

Piña Colada! (Not really, but I couldn't resist.) ;)

What would you like to play?

So Rainbow Dash became Rainbow Brite.
Pinke can't decide on one skin colour so her head and torso are pink, arms peach and legs lilac.
Fluttershy looks like a Regina Gorge rather than sweet self.
Oh, and all of them have their eyes too far apart.

Goodie.
I think only Pinke Pies expression bears resemblance to the original character.

Pony Corral / Re: Overthinking: a single pony timeline
« on: June 03, 2013, 12:26:10 AM »
I like your theories. I tried to piece together a timeline myself, and what came out if it was my roleplaying game. Though much was solved with the parallell universes idea. ;P

I'd love to see more cannon hints towards the earlier generations. Well, not so much the others as G1 ... I can't really see how the G2 and G3 universes could mix with G4 but hay, they have a mirror that makes them human now so ... why not ... (ew.)

Now I know you mentioned not being loaded with cash ... but I'd offer to buy them back. Can't expect getting something for nothing these days. But I'd talk to the girl. If she's fifteen now it is her decision to make and not her mother's. I'd be devestated if my mom had sold my toys behind my back. (Not that she didn't try!)

Seeing as it was a load of ponies, and she probably still have them untouched (meaning she never cared for ponies in the first place and won't miss them), it's only fair that she gets enough to buy herself a new pair of shoes.
But of course one canät be sure if she does care for them or not, or if they're even there. But as someone before me said, do it now before it is too late. Do it before you'll regret it forever. If it comes down to money, maybe you could consider this a gift to yourself? Rebuilding the collection later would probably be more costly.

Kids can't differ between muzzles and snouts anymore?  ;)

I didn't get it at first, either.

Both I and my boyfriend (of five years, living together and sharing economy) are very careful with money. We have a food budget and some money to spend separately each month, rent and other necessities are paid together and what's left over is saved.

Neither of us have any expensive habits - we don't smoke, drink, or even shop that much. We're not overly interested in electronics or clothes, thus don't buy expensive things unless we do need them. The common interest we share is ... toys, I think. Board games, video games, Pokémon cards, etc.
And then there's my poines and his Legos. I' say these purchases come just as seldom and expensive for both of us. We both tend to skimp on things, but when we see something we like, we spend, and sometimes big.

So when I tell him that "I saw this pony I want, and it costs this much" he goes "Oi", and that's about it. As long as our purchases don't threaten our budget there's no need to comment on it any further.
I'm glad we have such and open mind on these things, because I'd hate to hide a hobby in my own home. I had to encourage him to buy his first Lego Star Wars spaceship because he thought it was so expensive, and now he has four of them while I keep my favourite ponies in a small cabinet.

I wonder if they just pasted the most sought after ponies together from stock images and hopes that the cash will come raining in ... *shudders*

One hopes that if it were a scam, eBay wouldn't let them get away with it. I had to open a dispute when a user sent me a defective bootleg copy of a Pokemon game, and I got my refund (granted, eBay had to issue the refund. The slimeball seller kept my money).

Ah, alright. CX I don't think Tradera (Swedish equivalent) would refund ever anything since business stays between buyer and seller - and if one is a scammer, they have to turn to the police.
But it looks like I made this out to be worse than it is ... NMM is not such a bad deal.
