Does your significant other know how much you spend on ponies?

We spend money on our own hobbies, I don't ask how much things he buys cost, an he doesn't ask me. I think hed go mental if he knew how much ive spent on some particular customs! if he asked, Id tell him. I wont lie. But I don't volunteer how much each thing costs either!!

My fella is ok with what I spend on ponies. As long as I can pay my half of the bills, what I do with the rest of my wages is up to me.  He's even been known to pay for ponies he's found at car boot sales and not ask me for the money back!  He has expensive hobbies (fishing and air gun shooting/hunting) and I never say anything if he goes and spends a load of money on a new gun or fishing equipment.

My hubby doesn't care - well I honestly think he just doesn't want to know! As long as we're not broke it's all good. And I always pay bills first... he seems to be the one spending bill money lately, and he doesn't even really have a hobby, so I'm more likely to be the angry one!

My boyfriend tells me off when I ask if its alright to buy something because he says its up to me what I buy as long as all the bills are paid. I buy my ponies he was a little bit shocked at the cost of my Mimic but he said she looks nice so he was ok. He says as long as I'm happy he's happy. When it comes to MH he has bought me a few monster high dolls as surprises and presents. It's easier for him to buy MH because I can just add them to my amazon wishlist or give him the argos catalog number.

He's pretty darn fabulous and this year he's taking me to Ponycon.

My BF isn't really bothered, it's my money to spend as I please, and he supports my hobby as it makes me happy. Yes, he would probably look at me funny if I spent hundreds on a pony, but then again he knows what my Ball Jointed Dolls cost, and he supports that hobby as well.

Same here hunny.    My fella has his N gauge model railway with a large collection of stock which is also an expensive hobby, but I don't have an issue with that.  It makes him happy and he understands that ponies make me happy so it's a win-win.    Our cars are a joint hobby as we are both petrol heads!

Though I will admit he went very pale when I told him how much a Reverse Gusty would set me back...I brought him back to life by saying i'd rather have someone do a rehair for me.

Our finances are seperate so I don't generally mention how much any ponies cost. Sometimes I tell him when I've done a trade, and sometimes I tell him if I got a really good deal. Oh and I tell him how much some of my ponies are worth from time to time.

Both I and my boyfriend (of five years, living together and sharing economy) are very careful with money. We have a food budget and some money to spend separately each month, rent and other necessities are paid together and what's left over is saved.

Neither of us have any expensive habits - we don't smoke, drink, or even shop that much. We're not overly interested in electronics or clothes, thus don't buy expensive things unless we do need them. The common interest we share is ... toys, I think. Board games, video games, Pokémon cards, etc.
And then there's my poines and his Legos. I' say these purchases come just as seldom and expensive for both of us. We both tend to skimp on things, but when we see something we like, we spend, and sometimes big.

So when I tell him that "I saw this pony I want, and it costs this much" he goes "Oi", and that's about it. As long as our purchases don't threaten our budget there's no need to comment on it any further.
I'm glad we have such and open mind on these things, because I'd hate to hide a hobby in my own home. I had to encourage him to buy his first Lego Star Wars spaceship because he thought it was so expensive, and now he has four of them while I keep my favourite ponies in a small cabinet.

I don't have a significant other- I am 18 and live with my mum whilst studying. I answered that sometimes I share the information. I have such a guilty conscience if I spend a lot of money but if it is huge then I would rather not worry her. If I have sold things to make money to buy these thing at, then I let her know. She would ask me when the pony arrived anyway!

I don't really buy many ponies. I mostly trade. When I do buy, it locally, or with the money I got by selling ponies. So I don't feel bad, and I never hide anything from my husband ^^

My husband knows. Mostly because these days I don't do too much pony buying, and get the majority of my ponies as gifts....which come from him. I guess a better question would be if *I* knew how much *he* spends on ponies! lol

I went with 'sometimes I share, sometimes I don't'. Hubby doesn't ask so I don't usually tell but at times he'd freak if he knew when I'm really on one with buying
