I will repeat. WHO WOULD WANT TO OWN A WEEPING ANGEL CUSTOM!

ROFL. No seriously, I would be scared. That thing would have to be locked up. *shivers*

I can't wait to see it if you do it though. They're kinda amazing when done. :D

Haha! They'd be awesome for stop motion animation though :D lol, but yeah, would not want them lying around after dark x)

Acetone is bad for the body but fine for heads. I have used it to remove marks before. I can't think of anything else but I hope someone has a solution for you  try not to stress about it too much
That's good to know, thank you very much for your suggestions :)
If it's not possible to fix her and sunfading fails I was sort of considering trying to make a weeping angel custom anyway.

I have used an eraser to get marks off ponies and MH bodies that nothing else would get off. Just brute force rub... but never tried that on the face unfortunately. Not sure if it will work since its not the same plastic. :(

Did your nail polish remover have acetone?

I rubbed so hard that I wore through the eraser, Then I got a new peice and tried a second time :( I just checked the bottle of remover and yes it does contain acetone... Is that bad? D: I'm still freaking out :yikes:

Oh wow, the sculpted hair on that gargoyle guy looks AMAZING! /drools/

Now I have a confession to make :S :cloud:
I accidentaly left my Rochelle on top of a dvd case that had been written on in permanent marker, I didn't realise it was there when I put her down and now she three very noticable blueish marks on her face and I can't get them off! :yikes: I tried using a magic eraser and then some nail polish remover but nether worked. Is there anything else I can use to remove it and if not would sunfading work? Also if I do have to sunfade her should I try and cover her completely exept for the marks or should I just cover her hair and paint?

My DotD Lagoona seaweed inspired rehair is nearly complete, I just have to finish unwinding some of the wool in the back of her head. She had bad glue seepage and her hair was bad to begin with, once she's complete I'm going to sew her a matching seamonster style dress, borrow my sisters camera and take some nicer photos. Unfortunatly my camera decided to die completely a couple of days ago. :(

She's beautiful :) Was is easy to rehair using wool?

Thanks :)
Rehairing in wool was actually easier than hair for me x) I used a really large needle with my rehairing tool that could scoop up the wool easy. I was kinda worried about splitting her scalp but it never even came close to happening. The hardest and longest part is going through and unwinding all the wool x)

LOTS AND LOTS of new Monster High coming in for the June/July toy sales. So far, I have spotted as advertised in catalogues:
Skull Shores Frankie (sadly, $18 retail...)
Coffin Bean Playset
Draculaura's Powder Room
Cleo's Vanity Table
Werecat Twins
Howleen and Clawdeen set (was very briefly in stock but now looks like it's returning)
C.A CUPID!!!
Gloom Beach 5-pack
Roller Maze dolls

We are really starting to finally catch up on all the releases that skipped us by last year, as well as new goodies!

/squeals/
C.A. Cupid? Must-have-ultimate-grail...... /drools/
I have a friend who just shipped her in from overseas though... she will not be impressed D:

Anyway, I uploaded some pictures of Rochelle modeling DotD Lagoonas dress. I appologise for the poor lighting and bad image quality, my camera broke yesterday which is a shame because I only just figured out how to set it to take high quality photos. I'm borrowing my parents old camera for the time being, my old one is going to cost too much to repair so I have to save up and buy a new one :( I also sewed a new mh dress based off of DotD Lagoona's which I took some pictures of, it's really messed up in the back though because at that point my sewing machene decided to fall apart on me, nothing a screwdriver and some patients wont fix though :P

My DotD Lagoona had glue seeping in her hair but that was ok because I've been wanting to rehair her since I got her. Her hair was all different weird lengths before and it looked dreadful. Unfortunatly I am having trouble removing the hair as she has a LOT of glue in her head :( Anyone have any tips on removing it?

I also took some pictures of Rochelle wearing Lagoona's dress, it matches her hair perfectly! I'll post the pictures up later when I get them off of the camera :D

The Dollhouse / Re: What themes do you hope to see?
« on: June 15, 2012, 11:44:28 PM »
Hmm... I don't watch the actual show so i don't really know what sort of themes would fit but I do have a few suggestions :)
camping,
space,
Ancient civilisations (ban on godesses though, they get overused an aweful lot on this theme)
magic or superheros,
Famous literature.

The cape looks gorgeous Clementine! I love the colour of it on Spectra :) even if you're not perfectly happy with it it makes an amazing backdrop :D
Thank you :) At first I made it for Lagoona but it suited Spectra a lot better.

Well instead of finishing off my overdue and currently broken graphics assignment I took photos of dolls today instead :P I've been meaning to get some good pictures of the cape and the dress that I sewed. Nether turned out very good but in the process of making them I figured out a few neat tricks for my second attempt. :)

For those of you who are planning on getting the gargoyle boy, what are your plans for him? Brother\cousin\boyfriend for rochelle? Based on a book\movie character? French?
I can't make up my mind whether to make him her beau or her bro. He's definitely going to be French as well, though. I have a photoshoot planned for the two of them already, for which I have commissioned someone to make me some miniature items.

At the moment, I am thinking I will name him Guy (pronunced the French way: "Gee"), unless I can think of something else.

I'm going to leave him bald. I'm having a hat made for him that looks a bit like the Bratz one that BratzBoi gave his gargoyle boy:

Oh wow! Garguyle looks so cool :D The glasses and hat that he's wearing are so awesome!

Ohh! I love your red lace cape and purple dress so much!
I've only just started sewing as well, my attempts are not nearly as good though. So far I have made a cape and a 3/4s finished dress x)
