Yeah, I am. It was pretty bad, her hair was stuck together in big chunks. I already cut it, now I'm just wondering how to remove the glue... I have hemostats to pull it out, but the glue is pretty thick in there. I guess I should boil it to soften it?

I'm not completely upset, though... So many options are available now... I'm debating between a couple of interesting new hairstyles. :P

BTW, how is her name pronounced?  ro-KELL with a short o sound?  or long o sound?  Or is it ro-SHELL, with a long or short o sound?

LOVE this shot!! so pretty ^_^
and I pronounce it RO-shell --- mostly because the second half is spelled like Michelle XD

What do you guys think of this? I posted it in another thread, but I thought I'd post it here as well.

It didn't turn out quite as well as I was hoping. The idea in my head was one of those mash-up drawings we used to do as kids where you fold up a piece of paper into three parts and then one person draws a head, another person draws a body, and a third person draws legs, and then you unfold it to see what you've all made.

Instead, this just looks like I took Ghoulia's head and Frankie's legs and stuck them on my Lagoona. My photoshop skills are too good! It was meant to look a little cheesy. Perhaps I should've put lines through it and made it a triptych. Ah well. I can try again another time.

AH! that is cool! I like it -- at first glance i thought it was Ghoulia -- but i love frankies legs and lagoonas webbed fingers -- such a cool concept. ^_^

Yay! A comment! I'm glad you like it. Yes, at first glance it looks like one doll, but is actually a composite of three different photos. I will post a "behind the scenes" shot later. I honestly didn't mean to make it so seamless. I had intended to make it rather obvious that it was three different dolls. Ah well. I just need to refine my technique, I guess.

My DotD Lagoona seaweed inspired rehair is nearly complete, I just have to finish unwinding some of the wool in the back of her head. She had bad glue seepage and her hair was bad to begin with, once she's complete I'm going to sew her a matching seamonster style dress, borrow my sisters camera and take some nicer photos. Unfortunatly my camera decided to die completely a couple of days ago. :(

She's beautiful :) Was is easy to rehair using wool?

Thanks :)
Rehairing in wool was actually easier than hair for me x) I used a really large needle with my rehairing tool that could scoop up the wool easy. I was kinda worried about splitting her scalp but it never even came close to happening. The hardest and longest part is going through and unwinding all the wool x)

Oh, no... It finally happened... My Meowlody has glue seepage. T_T I was really hoping that it would never happen to me, and I had myself convinced that it only happened to people who exposed their dolls to boiling water. I guess I was wrong... I'm going to reroot her, though.
I finally realized the same issue with Gloom Beach Cleo as of yesterday. :( To be fair though, I did more-or-less boil-straighten her hair... twice. I'm surprised her entire face didn't melt off.

The good news is I hated the tinsel anyways and already planned to reroot her eventually. XD

Boil the head then push the top of the head towards the neck hole and reach in with tweezers. You'll be able to see the glue in there and grab it really easily.
That's really awesome, Puku!

Hmm, so I'm playing with my new CAM boys that arrived today. Does anyone have the gargoyle boy and the skeleton girl's wig or a blue liv wig? If so, could you post pictures of what it looks like on him, or what you did for his hair? I'm trying to figure out what color would look good on him and I think blue might look nice.

Love vampire boy with long hair! I want to buy a second cam set so I can have a louise and lestat pair. ;-)

Thanks Chi! I'm not all that happy with the result myself, but it's just inspired me to try harder to come up with what I'm after (rather than get frustrated and give up, like I normally do)

I am most likely going to keep my gargoyle bald, unless I can find a fiery orange carrot-top wig I like, as I am thinking of making him the unnamed Scottish gargoyle mentioned in Frankie's wave 2 diary.

As for the vampire, he does look better with longer hair. That wig he comes with is dreadful. Mine is pretty badly made. I love this pic of the vamp that BratzBoi took:

Thanks Cassie. I was on the fence about classroom Ghoulia. Now that I've got her in hand, I think I'll probably keep her. The only thing I don't like about her at the moment is the way some strands of her hair stick out in funny directions, but she probably just needs a wash and that'll go away.

Thanks!  Though I can't claim credit for the background, I got it out of a magazine. XD  I *wish* that was my backyard garden lol.

Love the pics.  And that tile!

I've been experimenting with stop-motion animation today.  Here's the result.  She's either dancing, or there's a lot of ants on that cliffside lol.  I'm not real crazy about it, but hopefully with practice I'll get better.  I haven't tried this before.  Warning for dial-up users, it's a large picture file.  It'll run slow at first until all the images have loaded, then it'll go faster.

You know there is a product that is supposed to work on the glue. I can't remember the name but I think it is from Twin Pines.

Yeah, but it's just a temporary fix. There's nothing to stop the "glue" (more like a sticky wax, to be honest) from continuing to leak out.
