For Trade / Non-MLP Mystery Mini Trade
« on: February 07, 2015, 11:08:22 AM »
It's a long shot, I know, but I thought I'd try anyway.

I grabbed a Funko Mystery Mini sci-fi figure hoping to get Tron, and as usual, my luck was non-existent. I got the Mars Attacks Alien, and if anyone collects these figures, I'd really like to trade it for either the glow-in-the-dark or regular Tron figure. I'd prefer the gitd one, but the regular would be fine, too.

If you can help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

Sigs & Site Support / Mistake on a feedback?
« on: September 18, 2014, 06:51:02 AM »
I should know by now that my phone can't be trusted. I was sending Ponyfan a feedback, and for whatever reason it went through that I was the buyer, even though it was a trade. Is there any way I can fix that?

Trader & Shipping Support / When to get worried?
« on: August 31, 2014, 05:55:48 PM »
I'm not an ebay user. Well, I wasn't, up until about a month ago...

I've been eyeing various auctions for an LE Elsa Disney doll for a while now. All of the auctions would end just out of my budget, and I was resigned that I'd probably never get her. In a moment of "what the heck, it can't hurt," I messaged a few sellers who had either high BIN prices or doll sets, asking if they'd accept a lower price. Eventually, I got one yes back, she relisted the item for me at the agreed upon price, I bought it, paid shortly after, and all was well.

Now, I had a slight problem with PayPal and a credit card, and just to make sure that she received the payment, I sent her a message on Thursday asking if everything had gone through. She said it had, but since she's newer to ebay she can't get the money for a certain amount of time. She also mentioned that the doll should be shipped on Friday.

On her auctions, it also mentions that she ships on Fridays unless she contacts you otherwise.

I haven't heard anything since Thursday, so I sent her a quick message yesterday morning (Saturday), just asking if she'd been shipped yet. No response. I understand that it's a holiday weekend and everything, but am I being unreasonable in wanting a quick "yes I just haven't updated with tracking yet" or "no but I expect to ship her on blahblahblah?" And I guess this means I'll have to wait until Friday to hear anything...

This wouldn't bother me if I didn't spend so much money on her! This is my first time dealing with ebay, too, and I'm not sure how to proceed. Any advice would be appreciated.

The Dollhouse / FS: CaM Siren
« on: June 10, 2014, 05:42:20 PM »
Hello all! I've had this girl for a while, and I just can't bring myself to love her as much as I'd like to. Plus the new Freaky Fusion dolls are calling my name, and I'd love to have a little extra shelf space! So...

I'm selling my CaM Siren. She comes with her wig, head, tail, lower arms, hands, pink belt, and crop top thing. I lost the blue belt she came with, and this set does not come with a torso OR upper arms. I'd really love to get $15 for her (plus shipping), but I'm open to offers. I also don't have PayPal, so well concealed cash or money order is the only option atm.

Thanks!

The Dollhouse / CAM Siren PC?
« on: May 06, 2014, 01:43:51 PM »
I've tried loving this girl, and I really just... don't. Not sure if it's her color scheme, lack of poseability, or what, but I'd much rather her go to a collector who'd appreciate her!

Anyway, CAM Siren (wig, head, lower arms, hands, tail, 1 pink belt thing, and top)- anyone know a decent asking price? Additionally, if anyone is interested in her, shoot me a PM!

Thanks!

EDIT: I can't seem to find the blue belt anywhere, so she only has her pink one!

Pony Corral / g3s at Target?
« on: April 21, 2014, 01:40:44 PM »
http://www.target.com/p/my-little-pony-toola-roola/-/A-11216944#prodSlot=medium_1_36&term=my+little+pony

I've got to admit, I'm curious. Target's website claims I can buy her and pick her up in a store near me, but somehow that doesn't seem right. A part of me is really tempted to order her just to see what happens.

What do you think, worth the $5?

Pony Corral / Is plasticizer leak contagious?
« on: April 17, 2014, 07:43:00 PM »
I try to keep my ponies arranged by gen. My main shelf houses my g4s and g3s, and there isn't any room left. I made a small platform/ shelf for Confetti, who was my one and only g1, and who's been steadily leaking plasticizer since I got her. Alcohol wipedowns and baby powder have kept the stickiness manageable, thankfully. I got a Pony Bride shortly after, and she's on the g1 shelf as well. There's plenty of room between them (probably 3 or 4 inches), but is that enough?

I have another g1 on the way and since I like organizing by gen, I'd love to add her to the shelf with Confetti and the Bride, but will Confetti's plasticizer problems spread? And should I move her off of the shelf anyway, to keep the Bride okay (although it's probably too late at this point)? I'm not sure how "contagious" various pony problems are, to be honest, so any help would be appreciated!

Customs / Merpony WIP
« on: April 16, 2014, 12:48:23 PM »
Hello! This custom has been a loooooong time coming. I actually cut the legs off of the Pinkie Pie bait... uh, a year or so ago, actually. Whoops.

I'm off this week for Spring Break and the dressmaking project I had planned ran into a roadblock, so I was looking for something crafty to do instead. I found legless Pinkie hiding in a drawer along with some old Sculpey, and I figured, what the heck?

She's my third custom so far, and my first attempt at sculpting on a pony! Her neck got a little deformed in the oven, so there's a bit of a tear on one side, but overall I'm super happy! I even managed to get the neck plug back in her head this time, so she can still turn her head and everything. I left her hair because I didn't have any to rehair her with, and I actually wound up liking the pink. I plan on doing the eyes tomorrow, along with adding some details to the tail.

I think I need to rethink my acrylics, though. The black irises on my first custom seem to have bled a little bit, and the white eye shines turned purple. Any suggestions?

Thanks for looking!

Customs / Looking for a tail- cross-posted from Wanted
« on: April 16, 2014, 07:31:48 AM »
I made a Wanted thread yesterday (link in my sig), but another member suggested that I post here in Customs, too! Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I accidentally melted Sunny Daze's tail in my attempt to de-frizz her hair. She was a flea market pony and in decent shape, so I'd like to try to replace it if that's possible. I'm not sure what a fair price would be ($3 or $4 to cover the tail and shipping?), but if you can help me, please let me know! The only thing is that I can't do PayPal, so payment would have to be made with concealed cash/ money order. You'd just have to make sure it gets to you before you send the tail.

Thank you!

Wanted! / Looking for a donor tail!
« on: April 15, 2014, 03:39:42 PM »
It's an incredibly random thread, I know. I found a Sunny Daze at a flea market a year or so ago, and she was in need of some love. Unfortunately, my restoration attempt went a bit awry when it came to flat ironing her tail. It's not too bad, but it's... well, it's pretty crispy. And I feel bad.

So if anyone has a donor tail for crispy ol' Sunny Daze, I would love to buy it from you! I have no idea what a fair price would be ($3 or $4 dollars? including shipping, I suppose), but I can't do PayPal. I could send you a couple dollars in a well concealed envelope, though! Or a money order, if you'd prefer.

Please let me know if you can help! Thank you!

Pony Corral / Do you ever wonder...
« on: August 24, 2013, 09:26:10 PM »
what kind of life your ponies had before they came to you? Now that I'm getting ponies second hand, I find myself wondering what they've been through in their lifetimes. Especially the older gals and guys! I often wonder what lead to certain scuff marks, what made the little kid decide they looked better with a mohawk, and so on and so on. I'm not too picky with ponies, so the few older gen ones I do have definitely show a bit of play wear.

So what about you? Do you wonder what sort of adventures your pony went on before they ended up on your shelf?

hehe, sometimes I like to think that I'm running a pony retirement home~

Price Check Archives / PC on a few g4's?
« on: August 23, 2013, 07:48:12 PM »
In attempt to keep my collection to ponies that I love (as opposed to the gotta catch 'em all attitude I started with), I'd like to trade off a few g4 gals that just haven't kept my interest. They are:

- Cherry Pie with all of her accessories
- Flower Wishes from the first collector's set
- Trixie Lulamoon from the same set
- Pink molded hair Celestia from the first Luna/ Celestia set with her accessories

If I could get a PC before I do anything, that would be wonderful. Thank you!

Pony Corral / Sticky Pony?
« on: August 22, 2013, 10:23:25 AM »
Received my first g1 from a trade today, Confetti! She's in pretty good shape, except for a weird stickiness I can't seem to get rid of. It's been really humid here these past few days, so I figured she was just a little funky from sitting in a bubble mailer. Her neck seam was really loose so I popped it off just to see if she had the same issue inside.

Unfortunately, she did

I scrubbed her down with Dawn, but as I was drying her off I noticed her inside was no better. So I gave her a second scrub, which seemed to do a bit better of a job, but there are still a few tacky spots. She's sitting out to dry right now, but I need some advice.

What's the likelihood of this being the dreaded plasticizer breakdown as opposed to just a weird ick? Just trying to keep her in nice shape! Thank you!

Wanted! / G1 Masquerade?
« on: August 18, 2013, 08:54:45 AM »
She's been a major grail of mine for some time now, and seeing as I finally have the funds, I think it's time I made it happen! And rather than turn to evilbay, I thought I'd be better to ask the lovely members of the Arena for assistance.

I'm not too picky about condition, however haircuts, mold, and/or cancer are definite a definite "no." Things such as dirt, scuffs to paint, and lack of TE coating are fine, as long as it's nothing too major. Pics would be appreciated!

If you're interested, please PM and we can talk price! If you're more interested in trading, I a few g4s (Cherry Pie with her full accessories, Flower Wishes and Trixie Lulamoon from the TRU set, and molded hair pink Celestia), plus some old Gameboy Games and a Nintendo DS.

Just one note- I don't have PayPal, so I'd have to make a payment with a money order. Something to be aware of!

Thank you for reading, and please contact me if you can help! I'd love to add this gal to my herd!

Pony Brag Arena / Octavia Plush!
« on: August 14, 2013, 06:20:54 PM »
Took a trip to Walmart in search of a locker chandelier (which I found), and I of course had to check out the pony aisle before we left. And there it was: a box of Funrise plushies! I snagged the last Octavia and made for the register, and I figured I'd be spending the full price.

Turns out they weren't in Walmart's system yet! After a moment of confusion and typing, the woman at the register sighed and said "Y'know, someone tried to buy one of these on Sunday and I rang it up for $3.88 since it wasn't in the system. So I'm just gonna ring it up for $3.88 now."

 :drunk:

So I've got my first ever pony plush, for only $3.88! She's adorable with her little bow, and I've been eagerly awaiting Octavia merch for some time now. I'm a violinist, so string-playing ponies with G-clef cutie marks are a must have!

(the chandelier was a Phantom of the Opera related necessity )
