A lot of new items have been listed on Amazon! And quite a lot of Apple Family Dolls/Brushables have been listed! So Much that we decided to post about them all together. We have no accurate descriptions yet and no pictures or other information. So we need to get all the information out of the title of the listing. Have a look at them all below. We are not sure if these will be Brushables or Equestria girls but we guess they will be Brushables. I guess they will be part of a new (exclusive) line. What do you think?
- My Little Pony Sweet Apple Cidar Stand Doll
I assume this will be a playset instead of a doll because there's no Pony Name listed with it. I actually like the idea for a Playset!
- My Little Pony Sweet Tooth and Apple Flora Playset
I guess this will be a 2-pack featuring Sweet Tooth and Apple Flora. Both of them are Fillies.
- My Little Pony Jonagold Doll
- My Little Pony Peachy Sweet Doll
- My Little Pony Flam Doll
- My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic Ultimate Collectable Story Pack Toy
No idea what this is.

Hmm, I find it interesting that, if they are real, that they are listed as several different sets. When I first was reading the post, I immediatly thought of the ToysRUs favorites set. I could see that as the whole Apple family in one set.

Hey we can't complain now, we have been begging for new character brsuhables and boys and thats what we might be getting, maybe we will get a Big Mac brushie this year in this line since we are getting a POP one this year and just got a Funko one last year.

I was so dissapointed by the EQG Flim and Flam... looked nothing like them to me ;v;

While the ponies do sound awesome, i'm more excited to see these dolls :D They sound fab :D Especially the Archery theme *looks at username*

Oooooo, I'm cautiously optimistic. I find it weird that it would be AJ's family, since they seem to be phasing her out of merch. I would be so happy for new brushables, though, and GREEN! Hopefully we'll see something at the NY toy fair! I wonder if Flam would be the TRU single exclusive, like zecora and Photo Finish.

I've seen a number of Amazon listings that refer to the ponies as dolls.

I'm really not holding my breath on this. Especially since 'doll' is a broad spectrum. Though what would be even more scary is if they try to half use an existing mold if it is a pony for one of the Flim Flam brothers x.x Because their build is really different from Shining Armor.
All I can say is we will see

Hm, I've been thinking about it some more and I'd be really surprised if these ARE Equestria Girls. Mostly because of the inclusion of Flam.. I can't really imagine them making an EQG doll with a mustache. :p If that makes sense. (The cynical part of me also wants to say that he'd probably be in a 2-pack with a girl character if they *did* make him as an EQG, but hey. x))

I'm starting to get hopeful for some ponies I'll add to my collection! I just hope they look better than the fat forehead ponies of late. I wish they would make Flim rather than Flam if they had to choose between the to; it might be hard to alter off a mustache to make Flim (because you have to have them both!).

Disclaimer: We are still not sure if these are brushables or Hasbro Pop Ponies. That's because of the box measurements we noticed. They are too small for an Equestria Girls.

I can say that in another topic the person that posted a video about the toy fair in europe, there was a Big Mac seen but he was a Pop pony
Sadly though it was hard to see what was in the Hasbro booth because display EQG was blocking part of the view x:

The shear number of Apple family names listed really has me wondering. I can get behind an Apple family set or series, I'm just surprised that there are so many possibilities listed. If I could though, I would add Granny Smith to the list.
I also hope that at least some of these are brushables and not POP.

With the shear number I would say these are likely POP ponies... I wonder if anyone can find their photos floating around, because you know there is that one site (hmm)

They better be brushables if they are POP or blind bags I will be mad for you guys. If those are brushables I will for sure be buying all the boys, and probably all of the ponies actually haha... if they are POP I will not be buying any of them.

I saw that the Rainbow Power Rarity (tinsel) is also listed on Amazon with the word "doll" behind her. I saw looked up some listings of Hasbro POp Ponies that still need to be released like this one: http://www.amazon.com/My-Little-Pony-Cutie-Fashion/dp/B00ND00IH4/
Notice that again the descriptions are very different and most of them have the word "pop" in their listing. I think there's still a very high change they are all brushables or else they would've have added POP in their listing names.

That there are so many and all are characters associated with the Apple family is really suspicious to me. I mean I wouldn't mind that many new earth pony brushables. Many of the things Hasbro does makes no sense to me. Until some some pics surface, I'm very sceptical of what they are.

These listings got me so excited but then I read the comments in this thread and was reminded that POPs exist and most of these are probably going to be POPs instead of brushables. Cautiously keeping my expectations low. I do collect and enjoy POPs but brushables are the real MLPs to me and by far my favorite thing to collect.

I think we will get some new brushables. Not most of the ones listed here but we will get some. When I went through the list of brushables I bought this past year I was surprised.
What I am really curious about is the 2016 TRU collectors set. This last year's was a HOT MESS. Possibly the worst g4 thing ever. Did they learn their lesson? Will they go back to releasing actual interesting characters (and, of course, ANOTHER Pinkie)? Inquiring minds want to know...
And why, oh why, can they manage to release boys in everything BUT brushable form????

Actually.. Hasbro's new line of Transformers have QR (type) codes right on the toys. You scan them into this app to unlock that character. So... it's closer to reality than we think.

Sometimes I wonder if the G5 asumptions thread is the only thing Hasbro reads on the arena, and they take it totally seriously as an idea list.

The age of physical ponies will be over-- Hasbro will now create iPonies that are completely virtual, and you will be able to decorate them with accessories and clothes, paper doll style, and store them on your virtual shelf.
Don't think that'll make it easy to collect every one-- certain ponies will only be available to purchase with real money at certain times, leading collectors to stalk the storefront page hitting Refresh all day!
Maybe we are just that good at predicting.

iPony *twitch* I don't mind if there are QRCs for online content as long as I get a physical pony.. Though I would probably give the QRCs to someone if they are only usable for apps for Apple products :(
Either way I would rather something I can hold that is tangible :) Anyone want to make a new line of pony toys?

I feel the same. As long as the ponies don't change I don't mind adding an extra online dimension to them. In fact, I'd probably play with it myself. And if it encouraged more sales, then that can only be good for the line, right?

QR codes are fine, just so long as they don't completely replace physical ponies.

It's part of a game, sort of My Little Pony's answer to Skylanders and Amiibos. By making the new and old ponies with these codes for this mobile game, they can sell LOADS of ponies. Kids will go nuts to get these codes; you ever seen a kid bugging their parent for a Skylander? I have at the store once. The kid was holding a slightly used one and pointing to one that looked almost the exact same, but was holding a different weapon thing. Apparently it had a different power, but the parent couldn't figure out how it was different and so the kid was going nuts trying to get it. These codes are a way to boost pony sales. Heck, adults fall for it too; I'm sure some bronies will get doubles of the mane six and such to have them in the game. And the QR codes will give us what WE want; variety!! They will want to keep this going for a long time, so they'll keep making new characters! And from what I've heard, they're going to be pretty small and unobtrusive. Also, if it still bugs you? It's printed on the same as the cutie marks and eyes. Just wipe it off with acetone!

True, very true! I hadn't thkight about new characters with matching codes! I assumed they'd just churn out 500 more Princess Twilights with codes for different characters lol.
When you put it that way, now I'm kind of excited for them!

I don't think anyone is actually 'panicking', more or less joking about.
But in all seriousness, I do think many of these will be not what everyone is expecting based on the wording.. It would be nice if Hasbro finally made actual brushable buy ponies (though I would assume they would have Troll hair XD but it's better than nothing)

They will want to keep this going for a long time, so they'll keep making new characters! And from what I've heard, they're going to be pretty small and unobtrusive. Also, if it still bugs you? It's printed on the same as the cutie marks and eyes. Just wipe it off with acetone!
True, very true! I hadn't thkight about new characters with matching codes! I assumed they'd just churn out 500 more Princess Twilights with codes for different characters lol.
When you put it that way, now I'm kind of excited for them!
Actually that is a possibility too... that's when several people buy the same pony and test that thought :)

Here's an interesting tidbit. In Hasbro's Transformers app, where you scan in the QR code on the toy... guess.. what.. You have to RESCAN it every few days or so... comes up and says "A character you scanned has returned to Cybertron... please rescan them to bring them back!"
So I wouldn't doubt that the MLP edition would have the same thing; I don't know if that changes how we feel about new characters being pushed with QR codes... but food for thought anyway. You'll have to keep rescanning your ponies to keep them "In Game"

I'm sure the kids would like a MOnster High type pony- except the designs Hasbro came up with.. they don't look Calavera inspired, they just look poorly planned. Maybe the original concepts were better but the execution... it leaves much to be desired. They don't look even look like goth or day of the dead ponies (which I love and collect) so much as they look like...a mess. I think they cheaped out and used decals and it just didn't work.

I think this is the reason for a lot of the pony line's failing - great idea, poor execution. How many ponies have fantastic prototypes on the box, but a shoddy, cheap version inside? In terms of kids' toys, MLP are not cheaper than most other toys in that category (some things, like the Equestria Girls, talking ponies, and playsets, are actually at the high end of that spectrum) and yet generally, look much more cheaply produced :/ I do like these new ponies, and I'm glad we are getting new characters, but I do fear that Hasbro's continued cutting of corners at the expensive of the toys, is going to be the death of MLP.

Being a collector of Applejack and the Apple Family overall, this is news right out of my merch dreams XD
Besides AJ herself and Big Mac, most of the Apple family are only blindbags at this point. Brushables is a huge step, maybe, just maybe a fashion style of a few of them in the future? :D (or AJ FS just..avalible <.< )
Either way I hope these will be simple enough to get - no Costco or odd places like that >W<
I cannot wait to have more of the Apple Family join my AJ army soon! <33

Probably they weren't supposed to release info about them yet. Toy companies can be very uptight about advance release info (since they steal from each other so much)
I like Equestria Girl dolls- but I do hope in this case, that they are releasing a bunch of Apple Family ponies, not dolls. And hopefully sans graffiti or weird black sticker decals that are hard to remove...

Worry not; they're not out of the question. The Amazon listings had them as individual ponies, so these Funrise things are more than likely completely unrelated to the Flam and other Apple family listings.

I think Hasbro is getting better with releasing new brushable characters (like the flower-tattoo ones), but it would be nice to have ones that don't have any of those gimmicks attached. Plain, new character brushables in singles like the first few G4 waves. Which is the next convention that will have Hasbro MLP reps?? A bunch of people should just go up and ask why they're still neglecting the brushable lines and rereleasing the Mane 6 & princessses all the dang time.
I'm sure these sets will be overpriced, too. Weren't a lot of the 3-blindbag theme sets something like 10 or 12 bucks? For a few small mass-produced plastic figures, that's way too much. :|

With characters like Flam and Apple Strudel in the mix I really wasn't expecting them to be brushables, so I'm not disappointed. I'm still collecting new character mini figures for the most part so for me this is a good thing that there will be a few new ones for me to collect and I might replace a few translucent ones with solid color figures.

Well to be honest, there are a lot of very popular horsie toys that aren't brushable. Breyer is a good example and to a lesser extent so is Schleich, Safari Ltd. and CollectA.

I would honestly have to see the sets before my final judgement on them. I'm not a fan of the character blind bag size sets but if they have buildings and stuff that can be used for other small toys then I might actually look into these.

I had a feeling these were going to be POP characters until I saw the price and now suddenly a range of blind bags with accessories makes sense...not to mention that Hasbro have been weirdly quite on the ponyville front throughout G4 other than some big pack releases. Ponyville style set releases were probably inevitable.

Oh. oh. :cry: I actually like the mini-blindbag sets, and I like the idea of more furniture/dollhouse type stuff for them- but this is disappointing simply because I let myself start thinking about what an ADORABLE brushable set the Apple family would be- I will confess I even let myself start hoping that they'd come up with some new molds (like a boy mold for Big Mac and maybe a mold for Granny!!).
Ah well. I hope at least the mini sets aren't just repainted versions of the pony molds we've already seen.
I am hoping that the Rarity's Boutique sells so well that maybe they will do a Library treehouse, Barn and even a Sugarcube Corner (the POP one is cute but just a bit small). Of course, I suppose I should be grateful that they didn't do a brushable or fashion style sized barn or Sugarcube Corner- playsets do take up a lot of space I guess. :lookround:

Another part of that chaining down to the show most likely has to do with the fandom. I think a chunk of the problem is that a lot of FIM fans cried for show-accurate and molded hair so when they made them, ( in a blindbag size probably for the sake of cost and simplicity) people gobbled them up and the minifigures sold better than the brushables. To me it feels like Hasbro was so eager to please the huge cartoon fanbase they started to neglect the folks that like the variety with the dolls. "Why make new characters when these 6 here sell so well?" or "Why make larger figures of these characters when the minis are so cheap to make and sell so well?" essentially. What I don't understand is the mentality they have with the pony toys. It's not like that for Transformers at all. They've said time and time again their goal is always to make their standard "transforming figures" first and foremost even when they do make cheaper or gimmicky things they still have that core line they'll produce. IT'd be nice if that was an obvious and well-stated goal for MLP as well. Although I'm not too hesitant to say that TF gets a lot of variety, especially now because they learned their lesson over-saturating the market with Bumblebee (because the kids love him) and the same robot designs for three movies straight. By the time the third film came out the toys weren't selling as well at all. It seems like this is what MLP's brushable line is going through right now. You think they'd have a mind NOT to let something like that happen with their other toy lines, though.

Which interestingly lists Big Mac's name as Big McIntosh (which is how that type of apple is spelled) rather than Big Macintosh.

I really like the sitting one. Reminds me of Seashell and Bubbles. I find it a little odd that there is a version of Applejack sleeping in bed. Love the playsets but would have loved them more if they were playful size as I don't really collect the BBs.

Meh. Apple Bucking AJ is cute and i like the idea of the playsets, but TBH i have enough blind bag figures that i'm not that fussed by them now. The novelty wore off waves ago for me. Would have been nice if we'd had unique molds for them all from the get go, but the same molds over and over in the early waves really killed them.
Definitely more excited by the new Equestria Girls than these lol.

Hm, these are pretty underwhelming imo. I like that there are so many new molds, though. The floating hats look really awkward, idk why they did that :s
Honestly I think my favourite out of these sets is the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 XD (Not even the set as a whole, just the SSCS6K itself) I'm impressed at how good it looks, I wasn't expecting much since it's a pretty intricate design. I do wonder why they didn't pair Flim and Flam together though, that would have made sense, I guess maybe to keep the cost of the set down? :shrug:
I REALLY hope those plate things on Babs and Apple Bloom are removable >__< I didn't even know what they were until a friend explained it to me (I don't watch the show, so).
Apple Bottoms is probably my favourite.. such a cute new mold!! Although that's a pretty unfortunate name, ouch.

The figure sets are pretty cute. I'll probably pick them up when they go on clearance (I anticipate they won't be cheap)
Very happy to hear that there will be Water Cuties Lily Valley, Blossom forth and Rainbow Dash! I hope they are released in the US! Maybe the next wave will be AJ Flutter and some other new character :D

Except for the 5 chase figures, they aren't actually in blind bags. They are just called blind bag ponies because that's how they first appeared. And even the ones that are in actual blind bags have codes or a little peep window so you can avoid dupes.

At this rate, we're gonna have as many "Sweetie X"s as "X Dazzle"s >_> Sweetie Babs is exactly one syllable off from Sweetie Belle, just like Scootaloo and Twistaloo. Excellent originality there, hasbro.

Has anyone gotten these in hand yet? I thought I saw a new thread a few days ago but haven't found it. Sorry if I zombified the thread. I picked up all of the individuals & 2 of the little sets today at my local TRU. I realize BBs aren't everyone's thing but these little doobers are nifty!
And it answered some important questions I had:
Do the clothes come off? Yes, even the plates from AB & Bab's heads! (Flam looks ridiculous naked :P) The molds don't need their clothes to look 'normal' though.
Is the rest of Applejack under that comforter? Yes, the bed, blankets, & AJ are 3 separate pieces & AJ is very cute!
Why does Uncle Apple Strudel wear lederhosen? Poor guy's a blank flank! (Seriously he's one of my new favs though, very unique knobby-kneed pony under the rubber clothes)

Most of the sets are available on amazon now (although they keep selling out) - I am surprised at how popular they are considering that they are VERY expensive! I added the Big Macintosh with his little cart in my "cart" - but whew, $10 for a blind bag and tiny accessory! That is a lot...

Holy smoke! At TRU the individual ponies are $2.99 and the little sets (Big Mac & cart, the sets w/ foals) were $4.99! I have seen a pic online of the largest set, w/ the barn, on the shelf at TRU & it was tagged $19.99. I didn't even look at online prices as I am more than willing to wait until they show up locally; I was actually quite surprised my store had so many this soon.

But at TRU the literally blind bags are $3.49, aren't they? I may have to go to TRU someday and see what's going on with these things and why they're apparently cheaper than their mass-produced, common-mold, blind-packed alternative.

Im definitely tempted by these. The barn in particular. I already dont display my blind bags so I couldnt justify buying more small figures and leave them in a box!

I say "most of" since I didn't see the singles (Flam, Apple Strudel, etc) or the barn playset, idk if they're going to get them later or if they're not going to be released over here (although I wouldn't be surprised.. it'd hardly be the only time we've got half of a line over here.. >_>). They also had EQG Flash/Twilight, "Midnight Sparkle" Twilight and the ribbon hair singles (main 6 only - anyone know if Starlight Glimmer's part of this wave or if she's going to be released later?).
