Than why is MH so popular? I actually think the target audience will love the ponies that seem calavera inspired.

MLP has a much younger target market than MH. Thats why Hasbro launched Equestria Girls after all - to target an age gap with the line that were "too old" for ponies. I think thats a large part of why we are seeing more stylised designs with EQG and more characters than in MLP.

They aren't really "macabre" anyways. If anything they look culturally inspired. It's great to see that in ponies.

Being a collector of Applejack and the Apple Family overall, this is news right out of my merch dreams
Besides AJ herself and Big Mac, most of the Apple family are only blindbags at this point. Brushables is a huge step, maybe, just maybe a fashion style of a few of them in the future? (or AJ FS just..avalible <.< )
Either way I hope these will be simple enough to get - no Costco or odd places like that >W<
I cannot wait to have more of the Apple Family join my AJ army soon! <33

Probably they weren't supposed to release info about them yet.  Toy companies can be very uptight about advance release info (since they steal from each other so much)

I like Equestria Girl dolls-  but I do hope in this case, that they are releasing a bunch of Apple Family ponies, not dolls.  And hopefully sans graffiti or weird black sticker decals that are hard to remove...

I don't think so... this set supposedly has AJ,Big Mac, Lyra, Sweetie Drops, and Apple Bloom... I cannot see much more on the box other than it says "Ponyville Box Set" and has the Cutie Mark Magic logo on it... plus Big Mac's image is on the front too with another text bubble but I can't make out what's written
I'd post the picture but I want to get permission from the person first
