Has anyone found these in stores yet? My local walmart only has a pile of FS Pinkies and Twilights. A small collection of the Rainbow Power brushables and the POP line is about the only new stuff there.

Quick question for when I eventually get around to working on my AJ toys:

Any other tips to flatten out the manes/tails? I worked at one of my AJ's manes for a while, with a toothbrush and water, and still looks curly.

One of em includes a Rainbow Power AJ, where half the mane is 6 inches of crinkly foil hair. Gonna be fun working with that, but I'll manage.

Well here's my attempt at styling Rarity. Messed up a bit when I took one of the rubber bands off, but not bad for a first attempt. Applejack's next when I have the time.

Yeah I noticed that with a standard brown rubber band. It just crumbled when I moved one of my brushables.

Oh wow, lots of references here. I'm sure there's some pins/marbles/straws floating around my house somewhere, so all I'd need are bands.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Yeah, I'll look around for metal combs. Been using plastic combs, only kind I have.

Currently working on a 3in AJ brushable. How does one get these tiny rubber bands/hairbands on tiny pony tails?

Do you want to just untangle the hair, or full on style it to look show-accurate?

Eventually to make it look show accurate. I managed to get a 3in Fluttershy brushable to look somewhat accurate. Right now I'm working on untangling them. Tried a bit of random conditioner, left it in Fluttershy's hair/tail (a different one, got one of them 9 inch high things at the fair). Didn't seem to do much, I'll try soaking it in fabric softener next.

Edit: Dunno if the conditioner helped, or me just combing through the tangles (Taking it easy of course, don't want to pull out any more hair than I already have), but Fluttershy's hair is in better shape. Letting her dry out now.

As in any standard meant for human use conditioner? I'll try that, thanks.

Pony Corral / G4 hair styling tips?

Howdy everyone. Starting to look for help/tips on styling the G4 brushable toys, at least so the manes/tails aren't a mess. Most of the time I leave them as is, but I'd like to get into styling them and making them look nicer.

I'm currently working on untangling this fashion style Pinkie I got at the fair. Her hair was a big tangled mess. Which actually makes sense considering it's Pinkie Pie we're talking about. The last inch or so of Pinkie's mane is paler than the rest, and feels rougher too. Dunno if it's because of all the tangles, but I was wondering I can do to bring the color and texture back. On a relatively constrained budget, since I'm spending too much on pony stuff this summer.

Thanks

Is there an expected release date for these Fashion ponies yet? Haven't checked the local walmart lately.

I once had a bag of chocolates on my desk next to a Pinkie Pie plush. I walked away for a moment, and when I came back most of the chocolates were missing. And I'm sure I didn't eat any myself...

Gonna go with the outline one of the mods suggested in the pinned posts.

Personal: Most of the times on forums I go by lordalexander74, or Alex if you want.

How old are you? 26

Where do you live? State, Country? The western half of the eastern third of Tennessee

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major? Currently taking PC repair/IT technician classes at a local vocational school.

Who are the important people in your life? Family and friends of course. Just the kind of that are a blast to hang around with and will be there for you in times of need.

Ponies:

How long have you been collecting? About 2-3 years, got into MLP halfway though season 1 of FIM.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4? G4 mainly. Might buy a few toys at the upcoming MLP fair in Nashville.

What made you want to collect ponies? Partly because of the community, partly because I'm a pack rat and must have everything. Ponies are like pringles. Once you pop, you can't stop.
Mostly I get sucked in to a well crafted universe, and my hyperactive imagination takes over from there. MLP (At least G4, can't speak much of the older generations) has great characters and settings. The characters and story is what got me hooked on pony, and community spawned art/stories only bolstered my love of the show.

I only watched the pilot episode of G1, nothing beyond that. I've a lot of respect for the older cartoons though.

Tell us about your collection!
Like I mentioned, I'm a pack rat. If I was richer, I'd have every MLP thing ever. Due to financial restrictions, I only buy loot that's as show accurate as possible. I'm very particular about how my toys look, that's part of the reason I don't like a lot of official merchandise. There's just something off about those toys.
-I've a couple of the brushable toys (Mane 6 and a couple side characters).
-Most of Funko's vinyl figures. Just not Sweetie Drops and Spitfire, they're Toys R Us exclusive, and the closest TRU is a good 60 miles away. And of course they're a bit more expensive on Ebay/Amazon when compared to the other vinyl figures.
-I'm really into Enterplays trading cards and dog tags. I'm only missing a couple of the Series 2 trading card promos (:muffin: Pony being the big one, it's con exclusive and goes for $80-100 on ebay. Store exclusive tins aren't so bad, they usually show up on Enterplay's store webpage after a few months) and the Twilight/Rarity/FIM metallic dog tags. Not the metal deluxe dog tags, I have all of those.
-The IDW MLP comics are great, mostly. There's a couple issues that aren't as strong as their brethren. Andy Price is my favorite IDW artist, any comic he draws is instant gold.
-4de's plushie line is my favorite plushie line. Really show accurate, huggable, and with a very good price tag.
Of course I commissioned a couple of unofficial plushies too. AJ was my first, she's my favorite pony and official merch almost never includes her hat. Got some custom CMC plushies too, and an OC (dunno if I can discuss said OC on here, not terribly inappropriate, but the OC the main character in a rather mature/violent fanfiction).

That's about it for now. Hope to see some of you at the MLP fair in Nashville.
