I was never picky, so I've always liked most foods.
However, I bravely decided to try to make Louisiana BBQ shrimp and grits last night for Mardi Gras, despite that I never found grits too appealing. Turns out that, like most things, grits are pretty good if you add enough butter!

what's the point of buying a dress you're going to fit into ONCE in your entire lifetime?
P.S. Its a waste of pony money...imagine how many ponies (depending on who) You can get with $200-$500!!!
Memories are far more valuable than objects and can give you more happiness when you remember them. A bunch of photos of you in that dress you wear once will last your lifetime and remind you of that night.
Everyone is obviously different, but I have never regretted going to my prom or wearing a pretty "one event only" dress. Then again, I am a total girly girl when it comes to getting dressed up.
And you don't have to spend a lot on the dress if you know how to hunt for bargains.
Exactly! My stepmom made a dress for my senior prom that I had designed, which I still have and love (we used the same system for my wedding dress and I re-wore the crinoline for my wedding as well). We didn't spend nearly as much that way, plus I had the perfect dress of my dreams! For my junior prom, I bought an off-the-rack dress from a previous season for something like $50.

I went to mine and had a good time and I'm glad I went! I wish I had gone with a friend rather than a boyfriend though, because I went with a boyfriend to both my Junior and Senior Proms, and they both turned out to be total jerks hahaha. I would have had better memories if I didn't go with a boyfriend

When I need contrast they always inject it with a giant needle into my hand >.<
I had that once. They told me my arm would feel cold and then like I'd feel like I'd peed my pants, but I wouldn't really pee my pants. It was quite bizarre. Good luck. I don't know what else to tell you but that at least it should be over soon!

I don't know about the specific saddles you're looking at, but I used to ride in a wintec, and it was comfortable, convenient, and low maintenance! Plus, as mentioned before, they are often adjustable, which is helpful if you need it for multiple horses or if your horse tends to gain or lose weight.

Yikes. Hope no one got beaned by a hailstone! In general, we can't attribute a specific storm to climate change (much like climate change deniers can't say "oh, it snowed today, global warming must be wrong!"), but if there is a statistical increase in storms, it may be related to climate change. Global Warming is certainly not a myth, it's been proven beyond all doubt that the Earth is warming up. What HASN'T been proven is any link to human activity or that mankind can do anything about it. The Earth is on a natural warming cycle anyway and has been since the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago
Paul
actually, that is not true Take it from someone with an MS in Environmental Science, we know very well that the cause of climate change right now can be attributed to anthropocentric factors. There's nothing natural about what is going on right now.
Precisely. 97% of scientists agree that it is very likely that climate change is human-cause, according to NASA. A lot of the "debate" seen among lay-people is caused by the news media presenting supporters and detractors of climate change as having equal viewpoint, when in actuality the supporters have much stronger evidence. I get to hear a lot about this in my department- I'm working on my PhD in Geology. yeah if you think about 100 years of cars, nuclear factory's, nuclear bombs, nuclear testing etc that has to make for something there over the years. i say bring on solar powered cars
In fact, nuclear power has very low greenhouse gas emissions, especially when compared to coal power plants or natural gas power. I'd certainly like to see more renewables such as solar or wind, which have even lower emissions than nuclear, but in my opinion nuclear power could be a good power source in the mean time, which renewable energy technology improves (specifically relating to efficiency, baseload power, and storage). Nuclear technologies are improving all the time, as well. Obviously, there are locations where nuclear power should be a no-no (such as on tectonic plate boundaries...) but in general it is safe, as statistics support. Clearly, nuclear power can be controversial, and I don't want to start a debate. I just wanted to put it out there that nuclear power isn't nearly the contributing factor to climate change that coal, oil, and gas power and cars and such are... some environmental scientists even support it as a way to decrease greenhouse gas production!

I never knew anyone with my full name (Margaret) who was my age until recently- and now I know 4 or 5! Because Margaret is an "older" name, and I go by Meg, people would just assume my name was Megan and call me that, which is much more common in my age group. So, basically, I've been called something that isn't my name for most of my life. >.< Edit: Also, I had an easy to spell and pronounce last name until I got married, and now I have a last name that is French, so no one can spell it or say it. People in my own family have trouble spelling it (thank goodness they can say it though!)

I just did a boring quick pumpkin last night, because I've been so busy. It's just a face, but it's pretty cute

I've been riding since I was 6. I mainly did trails and jumping growing up, followed by some fox chasing. I had a falling out with the woman I used to ride with about 3 or 4 years ago, so riding's been sporadic, but when he has horses in training, a local racehorse trainer lets me ride for him.
I'm hoping to buy an off-the-track racehorse or two in the next year-ish amount of time and start trail riding and jumping again, though after 4 years, I will probably take a couple lessons, just to tune up!
