So how many members here dislike the g4 line?

I don't really care for them much for the same reason that G2 is not a real favorite. They don't look like a pony. Where G2's looked like a cross with a horse and a giraffe, G4 looks like mutation of a deer and a bug of somekind. Very disturbed by the Fashion Style G4. Those tiny things are Fashion Style? Come on! That is the size the regular ponies should be. Have you compared them to the G3 Fashion pony? Now thats a Fashion Style pony! Some of the Blind Bags are cute, mainly for the variety and I can't help but like the D pony. You know, the pony that must not be named! Her qwerkyness is just cute. But I prefer ponies that actually resemble what the brand name refers to...pony!

I don't like them. I don't like how toys today all have giant anime eyes and weird proportions. Same reason I can't stand the new littlest pet shop toys, but I adore the originals and collected them too.

I also don't understand all the hype. I could never figure out why a little girls toy would become all the rage with both genders and all ages.. Oh well.

Personally, I'm a fan of the toys somewhat. Just not a fan of the show (which I perceive as broken). But honestly, I'd prefer it if the "ponies" looked like ponies instead of whatever they look like now.

and in turn others need to respect your choice of not liking the same thing.

It is what makes the world go round.  If we all like there same thing there would only be vanilla ice cream.  Someone somewhere along the line didn't like it and made chocolate, then other flavors followed.

It is pretty funny how people take things so personally and become defensive immediatly. There is nothing to become defensive about here. Some people like G4, some do not. For the most part, I do not, but respect my decision to prefer other generations and I will respect yours to like G4.

I completely agree, this thread was becoming a bit unstable!  I was about getting ready to hoof it, but I'm sure everyone can saw back on the reigns and return to a civil tone.   There is no need to bridle at other people's opinions, so let's not get long in the face.  I don't think there's any point in changing the original post, that would be closing the barn door after the horse has . . . yeah.

I actually never disliked them, but wasn't very into them. I would say since the wedding/ empire wave I've taken a big liking to them and started buying some for myself. I can't see myself collecting every single character.. I actually like the blind bags, fashion styles and the off characters that arent the main 6.

The G1s will always be my favourite generation, but I like all of the others well enough too (okay, except maybe the G3.5s).  I recently got Zecora who I think is ultra cool and I'd love to one day get Trixie and Lyra because I love their colours.  Oh, and Applebloom too
