Holiday ponies you would like to see
« on: April 17, 2022, 05:04:53 PM »
Official Hasbro ponies have been made with Christmas and Easter themes, and there were birthday ponies of course.  These represent pretty major, widely celebrated holidays in the western world at least so they make sense -  they could be sold in multiple regions/counties/continents.

Recently, HQG1C made Hanukkah and fourth of July ponies!

What if you could have a pony made for any holiday celebrated in your region or nation or religion?

I'm gonna go super-specific: in my hometown region there is a paw-paw festival every year (it's a native midwest American fruit tree), and I think a paw-paw festival pony would be pretty cool   I'm thinking a pale yellow G3 pony with a few shades of green hair and maybe dark pink eyes, with paw-paw fruit symbol.  For some reason I want her to be in the donkey pose!  Accessories could be a straw hat and a basket of paw-paws.

Surely you can think of something better than that
What are your ideas?
Thanks to Shimmlight for the new avatar image

We have Clover and Minty but maybe a green St. Patrick's Day pony would be cute. With a shamrock symbol, light green body and green hair. Maybe Valentine's day too?

Ponies for the 8 festivals of the Pagan Wheel Of The Year...?

Imbolc could have a lamb symbol, or fire for Brigid; Ostara could have eggs and bunnies, or snowdrops and daffodils; Beltane could have a Maypole; Litha could be sunshine and flowers; Lammas could be wheat and loaves; Mabon could be ripe fruits; Samhain could be skeletons to remember the dead, or the usual pumpkins etc. and finally, Yule who could have the Holly King or a Yule log...

Current wish list: G1: Baby Princess Sparkle (dark purple var.), Dazzleglow (blue heart var.), Cha Cha the Llama; G3: Baby Northern Lights and Winter Ice, Pumpkin Tart Nirvanas: Any interesting Applejacks (esp. Colombian)!, Argie Tomatoberry, Sweet Tooth [/color]

I know it's already been said, but... Moar Halloween Ponies!

I really want new Halloween (or Autumn) themed characters, but I also think it would be cute if they sold separate Halloween costumes, so we could dress up the ponies we already own. Not that Hasbro would ever bring back ponywear sold separately. :P But it would be cute.

Also this isn't a holiday, per sey, I also really liked the four G3 season ponies that came out the first year of G3's and I would love to see that redone. It was fun to collect them all, and they were really beautifully designed.

Oh! Also my town has a certain day for the animal shelter, Adoption Day, and it would be cute to have a MLP with that theme! I would see her as a G3 unicorn, medium to dark blue with orange, yellow, and white stripes in her hair, with a paw print cutie mark. And she could come with a little pet for an accessory, like the early G4's did.

Definitely more Halloween ponies! Spooky ones too, not just cute. An official skeleton pony would be cool.

I'm always down for more seasonal ponies in general.

New Years, are there any New Years ponies?

I would also like some ponies that celebrate other cultures, but it would have to be handled very carefully as to not go into cultural appropriation. Like I would love more First Nations ponies that are relevant to a tribe or tribes. A traditional Powwow pony would be cool. Same with Day of the Dead.

I guess January Joy sort of counts. She's got the little party favor thingy that makes noise, a cone hat, and confetti. And I think HQG1C did one.

Easter needs more G1 representation

So do Harvest & Halloween

We also need to recognise holidays held by other cultures. Ramadan, Holi (that would be a bright one), Passover, Day of the Dead, Mardi Gras, & others I'm sure I don't even know about. Oh & Mayday too

New Year could do with more Ponies than January Joy & HQG1C Celebrate as well
My Mascots (so far): Twisty Tail, G2 Trixiebelle, Starcatcher, Twilight Sparkle. All variants & pictures of these are appreciated. Piccies courtesy of Griffin, Blumiere, Littlebabyribbon, & Starscout

Any and all!! Seasonal ponies are the best! More Halloween and Valentine's ponies would be awesome.

I agree it'd be great to see more season-themed ponies too, I'm really surprised they've only done that once (to my knowledge?). It seems like such an obvious theme for a set.

Would love some more Hanukkah ponies sometime. My HQG1C Dreidel/Star are lonely ;)
