i have only ever been familiar with the thick glazed ones. Are there thin glazed within the U.S?
Hmmm, try mailing the company a signed petition for gluten free ones? I don’t know where you might begin trying to coerce the makers of them...
Ah, Iced is the adjective.

There's too many hoops to make sure the gluten free stuff would be actually gluten free, I'm just going to hope Schar makes some dupes eventually.
what the frack? Those look like they’ve been scraped on pavement and repackaged! Who buys these?!?! Where’s the icing?

Eh, I'm not a fan of the iced cookies, mostly because of how the cookie tasted.

Buuuut... There's nothing wrong with a cookie with a glaze though!

Canadians buy them, no other option unless we are going down for  USA junk food run!

At least those pictured have some sort of glaze on them, like lovesbabysquirmy said, ours are bone dry

Aesthetically one of the most beautiful cookies, I think.  They're just so cute.  I love the taste, up until the point where I eat too many, ha ha.

when lovesbabysquirmey said like a teething biscuit, I thought of these:

as opposed to these animal crackers that were more cookie like.

They still taste pretty much the same.  It seems the higher quality name brands have more definition to them, instead of  just random vague animal shapes that might be a giraffe, or a hippo, or a lion...

Oh. haha.
I disagree a bit. The stauffer ones are cooked differently, and that's why they have a different puffy shape. (Think like how a saltine cracker is, or ritz).

As a kid, I hated saying I wanted an animal cracker and getting the wrong kind.

LOL that's  totally fine that you disagree, as you are most likely right :D   It was a random statement and I had no real science to back it up.  Just talking for the sake of trying to be funny lol.

I never liked them as a child, but remember having to eat them.  As a (pretend) adult, I wouldn't willingly eat them...unless I was reeeeally hungry :P

With some brands it really IS just about more or less definition, but the puffy ones are genuinely different and kinda unpleasant.

Their texture is almost like an oyster cracker (the hexagonal kind you put in soup) and they just don't taste very good.

I remember all these cookies from childhood, but I didn't realize iced and frosted were so different.  Child me occasionally got ripped off.  Getting a whole box of animal crackers was a huge thrill.  I loved carrying them around by the provided string.

I bought some of the frosted a couple of years ago.  They were so good!

there is nothing wrong with that! Too much is subjective! Just don’t get a tummy ache
