I was thinking kind of like pillow talks symbol. The background would be black, with the pink/red streak across it, the horsehead nebula in the center and the stars around it. Not sure if this description makes sense?

This is what I came up with. Applejack was just there to help me place the stars. I was going to take her out of the background so only the stars would be left but Paint wouldn't let me.  So basically I was thinking about a pony's head (or reasonable likeness made out of stars.)

That looks great, but the swirl on the cheek looks a bit out of place. Maybe there could be one or two more on her legs? Or would that be too busy? I love the colors and the placement though! It works really well with her existing design elements!

I like the first idea about a constellation, but Galaxy has a constellation as a symbol already.

I also think yukiru's "Star Ribbon" idea is cute direction to take. It could be pretty to be like a meteor shower pony:

Just a bit more stylized, so it didn't just look like dots and lines, haha.

Or she could maybe even have a focal point to the symbol, like a regular symbol, but the TAF bit is just an all-over extension? Maybe something like this on her flanks:

And then stars extending out to make her TAF? The same idea could work with an image that's more like a nebula, even.

Wouldn't the "star ribbon" wind up looking like a TAF Glory?
(Ive always thought Glory would make an awesome custom TAF. I even have a bait one Ive been debating doing it to. )

I agree the spiral is random, but her cheek symbol seemed plain with a single star, and adding more stars just made it look like the Subaru logo. I guess that's because I chose four-pointed stars, but I felt like five-pointed silver stars has already been done a lot.

Ohh... Now that I think about it, a constellation of six-pointed stars in navy and magenta might be cute, like reverse star sapphires!

Although, Brazilian Milky Way is already a light pink pony with red and blue stars, so... It's hard being creative!

Sorry I've been MIA, everyone has been doing a lovely job keeping the game going and submitting amazing ideas so far. I guess, at this point, you guys are jumping ahead to designing the actual pony, which is great! I'll drop my pony base tomorrow in case anyone needs as well as some of those CM constellations/stars and just keep the creative ideas flowing.

This is what I came up with so far. It's a moon and clouds surrounded by stars. I'm not the best artist so I know it looks kinda blah, but I tried.

Edit: I realize the stars can be kinda hard to see...... Then again stars aren't meant to be dark so I wasn't sure what to do so I just left them a light blue-ish color....

I'm trying to think of more ideas and I might have something up my sleeve.

I don't know how to prioritize my art time, it's been such a hectic week. There is the base at least, will catch up with all the comments now and quickly doodle the requested symbols.

I'm going to say, let's keep this round, now that we are focused on the placing symbols on the base, until the 29th. Then we can move onto the poll.
