Wow! I never thought they'd do any of the non-FiM ponies, but it figures this one would be announced at the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. 

Even the brony side of the fandom is looking forward to sock pony (I think she's the reason you see art of the G4 characters in socks), and maybe the chance she will be in S7 or the movie.

If they actually give her socks for her outfit, she's going to sell out within minutes.

Not all of them do.  Some of them are really cute, and more "My Little Pony" like, so keep a look out for them.

I know I always put Minty down on BAB's surveys where they included a space for "other" and if enough of us did that, that may explain why we're seeing her as opposed to an upcoming appearance on the show or movie or Hasbro having plans to issue her.  Though if she ever shows up in FIM I'd be ecstatic!  Of course her popularity in merchandise may be enough to make that happen, too.

I'm thinking I need more than one.  As a rule I don't get duplicates, but it's Minty, so I think I can make an exception and get some variations.  I always get my BAB ponies naked with no accessories (made an exception for AJ's hat).  I think I'll get a plain Minty, a fully loaded Minty with scent/socks/accessories... and a Minty for my car.  And I'll need a few for gifts too.

Me: Great, I'll take them.
