Anyone else not really a "horse person" despite collecting MLP?

I'm not really much of what would be called a "horse person". I mean I don't hate them but I never had any interest in having a real horse at all. I think that's why the current gen looking less horsey is okay with me. Am I the only one?

I like horses and went riding for 3 years, but I was never very good at it. The horses just never liked me. I think I was too "soft" with them and couldn't make them behave! So I've had a lot of horsey experience in the past but to be honest I don't really care if I see one again or not

I think horses are cute and like them well enough, but I would never want to own one. I collect MLP because I like the G4 show and became fascinated with the entire franchise, not because of any particular interest in the animal.

Yup, that's how I feel, too! Never had any interest in horses at all (they're alright, I don't hate them or anything, but they're not my "thing"), but somehow I ended up liking MLPs! Funny how that happens, haha.

*Raises hand* Me! A lot of my friends grew up riding horses and one of my aunts even worked at a horse farm, but I never was a big horse person. It also probably doesnt help that I'm deathly allergic to horses and everything about them (the hay, fur, dust, the outdoors in general, lol). I was more of a dragons and big cat kinda kid :3

Was never that interested in horses. They're lovely animals but just not my thing. But I like the cute cartoony fantasy thing that MLP has.

I'm a horse person but was an MLP kid first. I grew up with horses and ponies but was scared of them and didn't ride much until I was ten or so. I didn't really get into them until my grandpa bought me and my cousin each a horse. I was still scared of them until I went to horse Bible camp at 14. I love having horses but can't afford more than the one who is older now. Someday

I'm not a horse person. I don't get em, I have no mental/emotional connection with em and they're waaaaaaaaaay too expensive to keep. They're fun and nice to look at, but that's it for me. Plus some can be kind of aggressive, with my little ponies, they're sweet and docile, affordable, easy to maintain, no vet bills and they don't smell bad  (feeding is optional)

Yet the weird thing is, I still wish to own a Falabella horse

Horses don't appeal to me at all, never have. I don't hate them either, just don't care for them. There was a point in my life when I wanted to try horseback riding, but I got over that pretty quickly. There are tons of other animals that I enjoy a heck of a whole lot more. Much like duenia said, I also enjoy the cartoony look of horses over real horses-- although I have a soft spot for Bojack Horseman who looks sorta real despite being animated.

I've never really got the fascination with horses, even as a little girl. I mean they're alright and everything, they're just not my thing.

I like how they look, but real horses are so big and kinda scary (I am very short IRL), and I've had a number of bad horse-riding experiences soo... not a horse person

Another one here scared of horses. I'm small, so I don't like the size difference and the whole "can kill you by shattering all your bones with one kick" thing. I like them from a distance, but I don't really want to be near them.

So yeah, I'm one of the few that LIKES that G4 don't look like horses. Everyone says that every G4 collector will get into the earlier gens eventually, but not me. Don't actually like the horse look, which is why I was never interested in MLP until G4. I can appreciate them and everything, and I like the themes and color schemes of a lot of the older ponies, but I have 0 desire to ever get any.
