POTD 9/5/2016 Mimic

I wasn't really thrilled by her at first, but then I saw her in person at a convention and then I had to have her!  She was beautiful!  The one I saw had a mismatched or discolored head/body, so I waited till I found one online, because I knew that would drive me crazy.

She looks kinda yellow because of my flash.

Ahh Mimic.... she was the last pony I ever received as a kid... got to pick her out from the store for Christmas when we were down in Disney World, so she has a special place in the cockles of my heart. 

Other than playing with her so much one of her sides is worn off abit, she has stood up to time so far;

I really love the pose. I love TE's and the colour combination.

I would not own her though had I not gotten a deal on the one in my collection (my NM one was $8 at a toyshow. another I owned worked out to roughly $86 from a lot auction I bought for other items. I sold her a few years ago). She's really pretty, but man- her price is just so crazy (to me) for a pony who isn't rare, since there's always many to choose from at any given time on ebay. So obviously those who willingly pay ebay prices must love her more then me.

Honestly not one I've ever really sought out, even though the TEs are some of my absolute favorites. Did not expect to ever have her as cannot justify the price she goes for. My parents surprised me with her for my birthday this year. Totally knocked for a loop. Will admit she is much prettier, to me anyway, in person. Not one who will end up as one of my top favorites but she has certainly earned a special place nonetheless.

I used to not be totally fussed on her, although I am a completionist, so I knew I'd eventually ~need~ her in my herd, lol. I didn't quite understand the hype surrounding this particular pony. It wasn't until I actually had one in hand that I fell in love with her.

I was lucky enough to acquire one when I bought a girl's childhood collection, and then doubly lucky to find that almost immediately after buying that lot, a friend of mine had bought me a Mimic as my Secret Santa gift!

I really appreciate her unusual colors and I love her symbol as well. She quickly became a very treasured member of my herd, particularly because she was such a generous and thoughtful gift from my friend.

Oh I do love her! She is lime green which is my fave colour, and she has a parrot symbol (I love birds!), and her eyes are really pretty too :3
There are other ponies I want more though, and she is very expensive, so I wouldn't go out of my way to get her. Maybe someday though!

I love Twinkle Eye ponies and Mimic is really beautiful but given her usual going rate, I'll have to pass. :/

After years of collecting I finally got one not long ago <3
Shes sooo pretty in person, Id never let her go! Plus, a friend got her for me, she she will never ever leave me <3

I want her, I really like her.

...Just not for that price. I doubt that I'll ever get her, because she wasn't sold here. Makes a fleamarket find very unlikely.

I've had her since childhood and...still don't like her. Haha.

She's way out of my price range so I'm not really looking for her. I still have I think a couple other twinkle eyes to track down, maybe I'll consider when she's the only one I need to complete them.
