Yeah, they seemed pretty young in the cartoon.  Didn't Sweetheart turn either 9 or 10 at her birthday party in that one episode.

Wish they'd made them in baby pony molds!

In some production stuff I got, Sweetheart was supposed to be the youngest at 6 and oldest was Starlight at 12

When I was a kid, I made my Sweet Heart Sister ponies be the Tales girls, heh!

Yeah, Tales was actually the first show to have individual hair styles for all the main characters.  Does it say who the animation studio was, Wildshadow?  Thanks for sharing these, they're amazing!

aaaaa that model sheet of Melody!! And all the others but omg Melody!!! She's soooo pretty I do love how they drew the hair in Tales.

Skeen, those customs are stunning. To my delight discovered Bright Eyes was still for sale and bought her. Looking forward to seeing her next to Bright Eyes. It will clearly be a lot of cute.

My only Tales Pony is Bright Eyes. Hoping one day to add Bon Bon and Melody. Wouldn't mind adding the other girls too. Bright Eyes, Bon Bon and Melody were always my favorites ... Clover was pretty up there too.

Hey, remember that time Bright Eyes almost let someone drown?  Good times, good times.

Ah yes, it was I who asked for that Prancer story to be scanned in! Not disappointed here!
And yeah, I own that comic with Melody and Patch in. I remember that the story had something to do with Melody betting Patch that she could run the ice cream shop (?) and Patch ends up botching it up.

Seriously love those sheets, Wildshadow, although I didn't see any difference in Bon Bon's stomach on the sheet!
I suspect that Teddy and Sweetheart would have more of a 'big brother little sister' relationship if Sweetheart were 6 years old. She'd probably also be more of a Tagalong Kid as well. Personally, I prefer Sweetheart being 9 though, her being younger just doesn't click to me.

I'm a little unhappy that Bon Bon's original description is "plump," though.  Everyone else gets a mention of personality/talent.  "Spriritual."  "Rebel."  "Singer." 

Hasbro, "plump" is neither.
