I painted my pony. I don't have the materials for sculpting ponies unfortunately.(ive seen tutorials.) All I maybe have to work with is Air dry clay. :/

I think flocking would look neat, if pulled off correctly.

And to answer my own question- As for extras- I don't really expect them, so just the custom is fine with me. Otherwise I like anything with chocolate; or small crafty things like stickers and whatnot.

I can't wear jewelry and I'm not into knickknacks, but I do like Disney pins and candy.  My favorite candies are gummies (sweet and sour alike) and basic chocolate bars (Kit Kat, Snickers, etc.).  I am a huge Cola fan.  I LOVE cola flavored hard candy and gummies, especially cherry cola gummies.

I haven't started sculpting.  My bait is prepped and I have my idea.  I've hit a life hitch that is delaying me.  We just moved in December and we are going to need to move again.  The apartment we are in is making us sick.  And...the there is something going on in our ceiling.  It must have flooded or something.  Brown water was dripping from my ceiling and now there is a steadily spreading brown stain moving from the the kitchen out to the dining room and living room.  Parts of the wall and ceiling are even opening and peeling.  I am NOT a happy camper.

Flocking sounds interesting. If you feel you can pull it off and it works with the character, feel free.

Sorry to hear about your apartment issues RedLynx! My first apartment was making me sick after the upstairs neighbor's home flooded and it leaked into my own home, so I know it can be awful. Hopefully your landlord is reasonable about having to leave.

good thing i was making a back up custom.... sigh.

ok i started over last night and i just need to wipe the previous pony's face etc then seal it.
i just finished my first face up for a resin doll and i really want to try some of those techniques on a pony. so we'll see what happens. i get the feeling i will be starting over many times on this particular swap. 
but i want to make sure my partner gets the very best that i'm capable of.

I've made an extra because an inspiration bug hit me and it's cute and I kinda want to keep it now...    I haven't made much progress in a while on the pony but am still on track because of how much I got done early.

Sculpting is finally happening!  I'm not sure how I feel about the Kneaditite so far, it's very sticky   But I do like that it takes detail really well. 

Question for all you seasoned customizers out there:
I'm looking for something like fantasy film but stronger/sturdier cause I need to cut shapes out of it that will hold their shape.  But it needs to have a nice color to it.  Any recommendations?  I automatically thought of mylar but I don't know if that comes in colors at all?

made some huge progress with the first custom last night.
just need to finish the detail painting and it's complete.

going to try and make another one... it will either turn out amazing... or we'll stick with the one to save myself an embarrassment worse that wet socks.

Well, good news and bad news from me.  Our ceiling completely burst open, stinky, brown water pouring everywhere.  I found a new apartment and we have moved in.  Two more carloads and we should be done.  My hands are so sore from carrying stuff and things are still a bit scrambled, so next weekend I will sit and sculpt!
