Ash vs. Evil Dead

I honestly can say that I've always loved 80's and 80's campy horror.  Ash was my favorite and even at like six I would watch them with my mother. I have so many Evil Dead shirts I could wear one every day for like two weeks! When they announced the series I squealed with excitement! I loved the episode tonight and it gave me the same vibe as the old movies. I might not be into the Walking Dead, and I gave up on American Horror story this year without Jessica Lange, but this is soooo my thing. Anyone else loving it?

Love it!! Anytime Army of Darkness is on I have to tune in. I think they did well in bringing everything that was so awesome about the movies into television format. Of course, Bruce Campbell is the bomb. Can't wait to see more!!

I still need to watch it, since I was at a party last night, but I can't wait! My husband and I specifically bought Starz so we can watch it at home. We're huge fans of The Evil Dead and even bigger fans of Bruce Campbell.

I've been waiting to see it for at least the past year - and, boy, did they DELIVER!

SO good - can't wait until the next episode.

I'm really happy they decided to limit the CGI and focus on practical effects.

I'm not as big a fan of the original movies as a lot of people I know, but I did see the first episode and it was great. I don't know if/when I'll see more, though, since I don't have TV.

Never really been big on the campey tongue in cheek type movies, so evil dead etc have never been really my thing, tho i do enjoy them more than others in that niche. The hubby however, LOVES them, so i watched the show and am happy to report i actually really enjoyed it, and am even willing to give the core movies another go to see if ive warmed up to them. =P

Brrruuuuuce! I love him waaay too much (makes Jamie jealous). Army of Darkness is my favorite of them all, just so fantastic (the two heads, the mini-Ashes, so awesome)! Will I watch the re-makes, unfortunately no.

I love the evil dead movies. I wish I had Starz so I could watch it. I may have to find an alternative means to go about it. I haven't heard anything about it coming to Hulu or Netflix later. And I have no patience.

Alas, I no longer have cable (and haven't been keeping up with many of Bruce's new projects as of late-life is so busy!!). I agree with Mori, any alternate means of viewing, I could give a casual watch for giggles?
