Possible scammer on gumtree advertising ponys using other ppls ebay pics updated

Background: A little while ago I was scammed via gumtree.  I 'bought' some g1 ponies and the ad was immediately pulled by the seller.  24 hrs later I was waiting on them being posted out to me and cleaning out my ebay watch list when I recognised a photo - it turned out the gumtree seller had stolen an image from ebay and used that to advertise ponys for sale that they never even had.  I immediately msged them and asked about it and they never replied to me.  I filed a case with paypal which they didn't respond to, no ponys showed up and I eventually won my case and got my money back.

Current: Browsing gumtree again tonight and a listing caught my eye.  Something about the ad seemed off.  I have done a bit of digging and located the two photos from the listing as being from seperate, currently live, ebay auctions (nb: the ebay sellers are in differnet parts of the country - I think they are completely not involved and have just been unlucky in that their pics were stolen).  So it would appear either the same person as scammed me before (no proof of this I'm afraid) or another gumtree user is pulling a similar scam.

I've reported the listing to Gumtree but could a mod pls let me know if I'm allowed to post any links on here to warn ppl?

If you want to go ahead and post the gumtree ad and the sellers name that is perfectly fine. I have seen proof of the eBay sellers who's auction pictures were used so it's legit that the photos were in fact stolen. There is no need to post the live links to eBay at this time but if you want to add their seller ID's and folks can look for themselves that will work too.

I reported it, but can you please link the ads to the auctions where the photos originated from so I can state that in the report?

Someone clearly needs to police gumtree more quickly. I'm glad someone here noticed it and called it up like this, since when you look at it carefully it's clear that the pics don't look like they're from the same place, but if you weren't looking, you might not realise...

Im pretty sure I also got scammed by this person several months ago, her name was 'Emma ' and her PayPal address was *EDITED* We do not allow personal information to be posted, such as full names and email address's  PL. and she was from Gloucester. She told me she would send me the tracking number when she posted the ponies but she never did so I filed a claim and got my money back from PayPal. I then realised she had stolen pics from eBay. I have reported her now too, I hope the ads get removed so no one else gets scammed.

Yes this person is Emma from Gloucester so it seems almost certain that its the same person who scammed you too Babydoll as well as stealing other peoples pics      Thanks to everyone who has reported her. I'll be reporting as well

Gumtree is pretty good if you contact them directly. Gumtree Australia,  at any rate, has pulled fraudulent ads for my husband when he got scammed. If you can get hold of a direct email or phone number,  give them a heads up.
