I'm still wondering how he would look with a girl's head painted to be less "girly". Because despite his face being ok I can't get past the human ears when the girls have animal ears.

I believe he is jointed...there was some variation between the dolls on the shelf as far as arm and leg positioning went, though since he's fully clothed I can't be 100% positive.

Here they are! They're retailing at $44.99 Canadian, so I dunno how much it'll be in the States...maybe $39.99?

This 2-pack will be the same as the Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle was $24.99. At least that is what the Hasbro Toy Shop has them at.

I suppose the upside to the hair being molded is that there's no hair gel. ;) They would probably use a ton of it if the hair was rooted.

But yikes, what an awful mismatch! That's not possibly just an error on one doll? And that is odd about the ears, too, now that it's been mentioned.

It's unfortunate, but they all look like this :( I sure hope the price comes down on them!!

Is it just me, or do most of the EG dolls look like they were thrown together last minute?

I bought them today at HTS, my daughter (the EG fan at our house ) is gonna love finally having a boy in her crew.
(we tried to convince her to get a MH boy, even found one , but she didn't like him , and/or he was out of scale)

Close up of flash's face reminded me of this.

It is! Although I wonder how Flash will feel when he realizes this isn't the Twilight he knew before. It's a little sad, since she really isn't the same Twilight he's crushing on. Hopefully he will come to genuinely like this Twilight for herself, since the Twilight he knew first doesn't want to live in the human world and he wouldn't be able to have her.

I feel that way, too. I'm still having a hard time getting over how haphazard the toy line seems. The vast shift in quality from series to series and the presence of (at least) three different jointing combinations really confuse me. Also, PEG LEGS. (They've stopped doing that entirely, right? Maybe?)

One thing that is consistent is pony ears (but only for girls, I guess, as Wardah pointed out.).

Other doll lines seem to be much better planned out, with quality being much more consistent from release to release.

What's the matter, Flash Sentry?  Pony ears not GOOD ENOUGH for you??

No, but seriously, why.

I'm guessing that Flash's hair is molded, but it just looks so weird.  I'm having trouble deciphering what it looks like.

Thankfully, they have stopped all peg legs, as far as I know. I don't have any trouble getting the ones with feet to stand on their own, even though I know others have had problems, and although I did recently buy the first release deluxe Rarity with peg legs because overall she was the Rarity I like best, I much prefer them to have feet. I do think the quality on the dolls is much better than it was when the line started.
