So I had a gift certificate...
And decided to order big size Funko Applejack on  Amazon. She didn't really show up in the HT here that I saw, and I really like AJ. But when she comes here and I open the box the figure has eyes like this:

It is like each eye is looking in a different direction like a chameleon does.

Really? Seriously?
Isn't Funko supposed to be making these like...nice collectibles? They're charging like that's what they're doing. But then there's this...

Which I think is Hasbro's original non-brushing AJ from that set of plastic ponies. IT looks like Applejack. It looks nice & cute! I like the hair sculpt and pigtails and the eye style makes her look more like the show.

Granted, from the side it's okaaaay

But I DO remember someone was going around fixing these?
Like, I clearly recall someone did something to their Octavia Melody that really made her look more like the show. Does anyone have the photos still, or know who it was? I'd LOVE to see more Funko fixes because I would bet this isn't an isolated incident of unquality eye.

Or what if there was a tutorial to help others fix problem eyes or something, that could be nice too.
If anybody's got any hints, I'd love to be able to display her from any side & having her look more like the character Applejack.

:lmao: Sorry she just looks so funny.  Shame on Funco...its as if some other big brand company infected them with poor quality control... :brow:  I guess you could paint them? The pupils and irises and white spots would be an easy fix since they are so big and it looks like one eye is scratched and needs a touch up anyways.

:haha: this is one of the reasons why I didn't start collecting the Funko's (though the mane 6 would be nice being I already have Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash)
I'd return it to Amazon and have them send you a new one since this is really bad job on Funko's end

They're all like that, except the scratch. I think it's kinda charming in a way XD
Silly AJ.

Yep, when I first got AJ out of her box I cringed at her eyes, she looks like an alien.
I don't know of the tutorial you're thinking of but I've had to repaint some eyes during customisation. I'd say treat them like any old eye, wipe them off and start fresh or work on what's already there.

YIKES!!!!!! :freak:

Hmmm I was thinking....maybe sticker eyes or repainting them? The new fun packs come with pony eye tattoos and with mod lodge they stay but those are too small for funkos.

Maybe a big pair of sunglasses? But I agree with Jordan- this is a big reason why I don't collect these- the quality on ALL of them seems very poor to me- scuffs, scratches, bad paint jobs. I can tolerate some minor factory flaws on a $5 brushable (although I'd rather not have to, of course)- but you're right- for the price they are charging these should be WAY higher quality.

Oddly enough, I've never seen the same quality issues in the Funko Mystery Minis- they all seem pretty nice, and for a better price too!

That's pretty bad... I don't know... I would probably just display it with the side facing the audience.

Yeah, they're definitely all like that.  I rarely have any issues with my Funko figures, but I've noticed that almost all Applejack figures have wonky eyes.

Unfortunately as others have mentioned, its common across all the Funko AJs so you dont have a random factory issue there. For fixing up you will need some black paint, white paint and a steady hand. :)

I agree the quality on them is really not great - so scratches, scuffs and a lack of perfection needs to be expected. I prefer the little AJ here as well - but then again I find the way Funko does the muzzles on their ponies a little weird.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Eek! I never noticed this because I haven't taken my Funkos out of their boxes. Now I'm definitely not going to unbox them!

Gah! I'm so sorry you got such a disappointment. I love the Applewhack crack, though. LOL. So appropriate!

I've wanted some of the Funkos sometimes, but have hesitated. So is Applejack the only one affected by this, or is it ALL the big Funko Pony figures?
