Baby Sugarcake just sold for how much?!

Did anyone see that baby sugarcake that just sold for $540 US on eBay? Is that normal for baby sugarcake? Please tell me that's not normal

Holy crap. The highest I've ever seen her go is $90. Was she loose or MIP? That can make a lot of difference, though it still sounds like way too much...

EDIT: Oops, I thought you meant Lil Cupcake/Sweetcake. Yeah, $200 is more normal for her, my bad. $540 is still a lot though.

She was loose with no accessories!!!! She was in perfect condition with factory curls but still I would have never thought she'd be worth that much

If it's been a long time since one showed up on eBay, that might have driven up her price?  I know the year 2 sea ponies are that way, if none show up for a year or so, you can expect them to go for at least double the normal price.

I sold one on the Arena a year or so ago for $150, which I felt was a solid offer for her at the time.  I feel like $125 to $200 is more in the range of what I'd consider "normal" for her.  She doesn't come up for sale all that often and I imagine a bidding war must have gotten heated or people put in really high maximum bids in hopes of sniping.   I've been surprised by how high prices have gone for other sought after/hard to find ponies on ebay recently, like recent auctions for the TAF babies.

Me, too. I've seen some beautiful TAF babies on Ebay and some are really going for high prices right now! I hope they're less expensive when I'm back in the market. And wow, I'd love a Baby Sugarcake; I guess that's why she went so high, since she does come up, like, only once or twice a year?

(I was digging through my closet yesterday and with my pony backcards found my Day at the Beach pamphlets with Baby Sugarcake and Baby Gametime advertised and all the other rare ones, like Rapunzel. If I had a time machine . . .  )

Wow... either a bidding war drove it up, or someone put in an absolutely ridiculous max bid thinking "ah, it'll never get that high, I can just relax". I certainly hope the bidder comes through with payment even though it's way overkill, that must be an amazing feeling for the seller to see such a result.

At that point your more than halfway to Rapunzel but it has been a while since she's been up for auction.  She is a cutie but even then that's  out of my price range.

That's true might have made parting with her easier with the amount he or she got for her.

Yes it definitely would have made it easier parting with her, I really want her but for that amount I'd consider selling if I had one! 
Must have been a bidding war, that's all I can really think of. The seller has put on her sister baby gametime now so it will be interesting to see how much she goes

I didn't see they put up Gametime but that will be interesting. I feel she may not go as high as SugarCake but I could be wrong.

Yeah I don't think she will go as high, there was a baby gametime a few months ago with all her accessories that went for about $300 which seems much more reasonable... but who knows we will just have to wait and see!

True, makes you wonder "had" SugarCake come with her accessories what would she have really gone for? I remember that Gametime you mentioned a few months back that's why I'm predicting lower than her.
