She's here!!

I came home from walking my dog this morning to find a little parcel from the US sitting on my doormat. I knew instantly what it was, the Mimic I bought two weeks ago! I was so lucky to get her. Including postage to the UK she only cost me £35.

I am so over the moon. She is such a beautiful pony in real life and has become an instant favorite... though it does help that green is my fave colour 

Ok, so onto Mimic herself!

She was clearly someones much loved toy. Both cutie marks have faded a bit but her hair is so soft and silky. I was actually quite surprised at how nice her hair was!
Can't wait to clean her up. Hopefully I can remove that black mark on her face

Congratulations!  I'm glad everything went well and you got your Mimic.  What a good deal!  She is beautiful even as she is. I'm sure she'll be absolutely gorgeous once you clean her up.

I have much bias here, Mimic still being my favourite TE, but it's such a nice pony parcel to open the door to!

I also feel like, ehen you live in a country where she wasn't officially sold, it makes itveven more special to see her for the first time!

When I got mine I had never seen a photo, just a drawing on DV and a bad quality recording of the tv episode...I was 15, and I think I would have spent the day carrying her around with me if Mum hadn't made me go to school!

The twinkle eyes are my favorite of all the sets so naturally Mimic was one I wanted, but she's so expensive she was just not a pony I could afford. Now that I have her though, she is beautiful and I am so glad.
As a child I had a mlp video but never associated the ponies in the episodes to ones I owned/with toys that existed (I inherited them off my cousin so never knew their names or that there was a link between the toy line and the cartoon). What I do remember though is that my favorite episode was the one with Mimic. As an adult collector I was quite surprised that the pony featured in my most loved episode was one of the hardest ones to get, especially here in the UK!

I remember feeling the same excitement when I discovered that Chief was an actual pony and not just a character in the colouring books that I had.
