Something I wondered too. I have quite a few ponies with lovely long hair and no forelocks
Kids like cutting things.I can't explain it since I would never have done that to my ponies- but then I knew my mom would have freaked out if I had. On the other hand I know my nephew is always cutting things (his sisters' dolls, their ponies, his own hair). Personally, I can't see how he could possibly have access to scissors after so many mishaps- but that is another discussion...So I guess my answer is ... parenting.
I blame the episodes of The Glass Princess that taught kids that pony hair magically grows back:P And dream beauties that came with scissors. ..silly hasbro.
