So far all the mods who commented have confirmed that I chose wisely. For ages I thought that Loa was the pig-tailed girl celebrating her 5th birthday, but the single most helpful clue when my eyes deceived me was the one about which mods were born in America.

I'm afraid I might have mixed up MirnyJ and pinkkittywinks.  I never found a current photo of pkw, and if MirnyJ is who I guessed (the girl with the newspaper hat), then she doesn't look very much like her child self anymore, at least not to me.

I do know that I have at least five six! correct matches (I somehow missed SDS's belated clue), and maybe seven. Oh, I hope I hope I hope!!!

Well mine had an unplanned big hint in it - I'm holding a plush bunny. And 3 of my childhood ponies.

I wondered about that! I know you are a big fan of bunnies, but I wasn't sure if your love of them stemmed all the way back to your childhood. But then you said there was a pretty big clue in your photo, so I dared to hope. I also dared to hope that was actually a bunny and not some other animal with long ears, like a dog or a donkey.
