Had a bad morning trying to get a recall taken care of at the Chevy dealership, so I went on a bit of a pony-buying binge immediately after leaving, lol. No regrets!
Not MLP, but this completes my collection of the Monster High vinyl figures! They're so cute; I really hope Mattel makes more of the characters into vinyls!

loginThese Boley brand fakies are cute, and could make good bait for practicing custom technique! They're a harder plastic than MLP, and my only real complaint about them is the tails are really weird. It'll be interesting to see if they might be able to be rehaired. Has anyone else got these and tried anything with them already? They were at TRU for $3 each (in the US).

I think they're quite pretty; they remind me a little of Dream Beauties, but the way their eyes and eyebrows are painted make it look like they have some serious resting you-know-what-face. Which kind of makes me like them even more. I haven't seen any Barbie movies since I stopped working in childcare, so I'm not sure what Secret Door is. Might see if it's on Netflix later, lol

loginI was so excited to finally see blind bags in a store again that when I spotted these three (the only ones left), I looked at the wrong Wave on my printed checklist. So now I have an extra Mosely Orange, lol. He can be rehomed if anyone wants him! Rainbow Swoop is cute, though, and I LOVE Junebug.

I wonder if I'd be able to use some kind of apoxy or sculpy or something to fill in the hole on her back; then maybe I could leave the wings out without it looking too odd. Any thoughts?

loginLily Blossom, from the individual bag. I love her colors and symbol, and was glad to find her. Usually I only see the Mane 6 in the bags, but I like the price! lol. I hope I can get that weird defect off without damaging her. Her tail is all kinds of wonky, too, but nothing a wash shouldn't fix.

loginSweetie Drops needs a little work, also. She's got that weirdo defect of hair stuck in the neck "joint." How does that even happen??? I like that her mane is channeling Luna and Celestia. Wish my waterglobe princesses would have had their manes come out of the plastic like this, that would have been some effortless (almost) show accuracy.

loginFinally got the non-princess waterglobe ponies! After reading how much trouble some people are having finding Diamond Mint, I was thrilled/relieved to find not one, but two! I got them both - one for myself (of course) and another to be rehomed.

loginWhen I was at TRU, I was glad to see that there was a woman with her young daughter in the MLP aisle. I'm always glad to see that the target audience is still enjoying MLP as much as we are! I showed the mother the Barbie horses I'd found, and let her know there was one more if they were interested. She also wasn't sure what the talking Queen Chrysalis was - I normally don't talk to strangers about MLP, because I know they'll assume I'm a brony, but I explained who the character was. If it hadn't been a mother shopping with/for the kid, I probably wouldn't have said anything. Maybe that's rude, lol, but oh well.
