Says some of the nickelodeon shows from the 90s are getting new episodes this fall. I hope this is true.

Any official word from Nick on this? Tweet? Press Release?

I'm a bit skeptical because this reminds me of something that happened a few years ago. Everyone was convinced that Nickelodeon was positively making new episodes for one of their early 2000's cartoons, Invader Zim. It has a huge cult following and if there was ever a cartoon that folks have demanded Nick to bring back boy howdy is it this one. Anyway not sure how it got out but someone on the inside had mused about making more episodes and the hype exploded. Folks even pestered the show's creator about, he expressed interest in coming back as did some of the staff and voice actors. It never happened.

Yeah, I'd like to see a source on this, too. As much as I'd like it to be true, I can't help but be sceptical ^^; Particularly since CatDog's listed.. I kind of get the impression that most people didn't like it, so I'd be *really* surprised if that show got a revival. (I mean, I adore CatDog, but y'know.)

I really wish that show would come back. It was one of Nickelodeon's best cartoons in "recent" years. It wasn't from my childhood, but I still loved it. Funny as heck.

Please let this happen! I rarely watch tv anymore but when I do, it's always cartoons from my childhood. I can't stand 95% of the cartoons on television nowadays :(

This has been a rumor since 2011, where supposedly on March 14th they were going to start airing new episodes. So no, there's no proof of this actually happening.

I'm a bit biased because I love the cartoon but yeah I do agree it was one of their best. Easily one of the most unique, anyway.

The only way I'd want 'em to bring it back is if they attempted to pick up about where they left off. They had awesome plans for that show and even some cool episodes that were scripted/recorded. I'd be thrilled if they just decided to finish it off in a comic series. Jhonen Vasquez is or rather was mostly a comic artist anyway.

I've been watching the 90s Nick cartoons on TeeNick late at night. They play CatDog waaaaay too much on weekend nights >_< (to the point I actually hate CatDog now...)

Hijacking this a bit more...
This is the nerd that taped it religiously every Saturday night (and loves Kristian Ayre to bits). The tape was so worn out I was ealted when I found someone that had DVD copies about 7 years ago...

It was so very clever (come on how often do you get George Takei to dress full out as a lizard?) and is one of the SNICK shows that never got the credit it deserved. There's gotta be an underground following somewhere that's talking about it that I'm missing out on...

We got YTV instead of nickelodeon so  some of those things didn't air (though I think cat dog aired later on? I remember hey Arnold and I remember the other one with Eliza but didn't like it too much)

I was more of a Rugrats girl.  Loved it^^

I wouldn't call Catdog (thought that was CN show) Wild Thornberries (great show) and Hey Arnold old school Nick.

Eureka's Castle
Maya the Bee
Grimms Fairytales
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Lil bits
Wild n Crazy Kids
You Can't Do That on Television
Double Dare
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Doug
Salute Your Shorts
Adventures of Pete n Pete
Inspector Gadget
Danger Mouse
Heathcliff
Rugrats
Clarissa Explains It All
That's more old school Nickelodeon

Nick has been around a LONG time... what classifies as "old School Nick" will vary depending on who you talk to and who is nostalgic about what shows they watched on there. Also, it's been well over 10 years since the three cartoons listed in the article ended so they're starting to age and collect just as much dust as much as everything else that used to air on the channel.
