And here in England, the headline reads: Killer freeze on the way to Britain ...4 inches of snow. The horror.Gah, what a joke, especially compared to some parts of the US. Stay safe everyone!
There's no such thing as a blizzard in Texas! although I better check on my internet sister :s she lives in New York and they get gnarly winter storms O.O
On the island here off of Cape Cod power went out completely during the storm here at the house no cell phone, no landline, no heat, no lights, it just went away. I stayed in the warmest room till it just got too cold during the Monday to Wednesday time period. I have 2 doggies with me and they were getting cold and sad so I packed up a bag before the storm that I had ready, finally got 1 bar of att and called to get to the local shelter. Walked down my road here in the snow with one dog in a carrier over 1 arm, 1 dog on a leash to the police car to get to get to the shelter. Was told they may be be accepted there by the police on the phone but brought them anyway down the street not leaving them behind. We went Wed am early around 3 am. We ended up staying till about 3 pm Wednesday. It was something for sure. So glad that the island is recovering although roads still had snow on them today and people had to go very slow even though they had been plowed. So glad its passed.-mylittleponysparkle
Today we have blizzard with a windchill of -40 at 50km/hour winds. When the weather report says "Frostbite in minutes they're not kidding.
