Hm... I really don't like much 80s music, to be honest. Maybe Boston's 70s hits (Peace of Mind, Don't Look Back, Long Time, More Than a Feeling) count as 'power ballads'? If so I'll have to go with them. Always loved me some Boston!

The song usually had it's last verse cut off on the radio, probably because it is a LONG song.  But the girl sings back to him that sure, he'd do all these great things for her , "but sooner or later you'll be screwing around.". But I would never do that.  No I won't do thaaaaaaaaaaatt.
