This is exactly why I wanted her very badly when I was a kid. Sadly I don't think she was ever sold in my country. I also had an awesome sticker of her which made me like her more. When I started properly collecting I got her quite fast, I think I paid $60 for a NM Mimic. I love her unique colour and the pose which isn't too common either. And I love Twinkle Eyes and unicorns, so yeah...

But for example I do not like Rapunzel, I think she's kinda ugly.. *dodges fakies* If I'd get one I would sell it to someone who actually likes her.

Nope they were boxed in the same quantities per box It was a standard 6 set assortment - I have sales lists from that year and the set could be purchased in 12, 18 or 24 assortments - with 2, 3, or 4 of each pony in it.

As others have said its just popularity. Red Roses, Princess Taffeta, Baby Leaper, Diamond Dreams and Lemon Treats all suffer the same kind of inflated price in comparison to their set companions. The more people who want them the higher the price they can command.

She may be sought after, but not rare as Rapunzel or Sweet Scoops who I rarely see pop up. I've spotted 2 different lots in the last week with a hidden Mimic. Hope more pop up like that so those without her can snag a good deal!

A MOC Mimic sold for $1300 on eBay the other day.  I'd love to have her in my collection one day, but there's no way I can spend $100+ for a pony. Hopefully I'll get lucky and be able to get her for a lot less. I can dream, right? 

I saw that, I just bought one too, not even close to that price though.
