ID Help Needed: Plushie Eeyore - Is He Handmade?

I picked up a completely adorable Eeyore today.  He has a vintage feel about him.  The fabric used is top-notch, better than most plushies I've seen.  When looking for identifying information (there is none), I noticed that the stitching looks like parts of it were done by hand.

I did a Google search and found this pattern.

1965?!?!?!

"Spiff, looks like you IDed him, why do you need our help?"

Well, I want to make certain that this guy is really-and-truly handmade.  Also, what do you think his value would be?  He is in excellent condition!  There are only two flaws: the yarn that his bow is made of is a bit frayed and there is a small bald spot on one leg.   Here, let me show you the awesomeness that is Eeyore:

I couldn't get the pattern link to work.

He is absolutely PRECIOUS, though! I've never seen an Eeyore like him.  I'm almost as Pooh-obsessed as I am with ponies. XD Especially the more vintage designs. Great find! Hope you find out more info about him.

That Eeyore is absolutely precious! Bookmarked the pattern because I may have to break down and get it at some point. Vintage Pooh is  :heart:

What does he feel like he's stuffed with? Some older toys are filled with peanut shells... Is he heavy? He almost looks hand made to me. No indication of a tag anywhere within the seams?

He looks vintage to me, but for the great quality he almost looks mass produced like maybe some sort of anniversary plush?

He is heavy - very firm.  I think he's filled with your avetage stuffing, but tightly packed.  No signs of where a tag may have been.
