Just Started Down a Dark Path - (New Brag Added Nov 6th)

I've been browsing around the Arena a lot this past week, looking at all the amazing pony rooms people have. And one thing I kept seeing were the giant G3 plushes. I always ignored them when they were in stores here in Aus, even though I really wanted one, because I didn't have $80-$150 to spend on them. But while browsing around the Arena, I saw a passing comment from someone saying that now they can be as little as $20 secondhand 

Sure enough, I checked out Gumtree and found a Rainbow Dash plush in loved-but-nice condition just 30 minutes away... for $20! 

My boyfriend and I made the drive over today to get her, and I snapped this quick photo before I got started on the process of cleaning her and fixing her up:

The posts in her legs had bent, and she did have quite a few dirty patches, so I've destuffed her and put her skin through the wash (on a gentle cycle, of course!) Once she's dry, all I'll have to do is find some plastic tubing for her legs and I can restuff her and sew her back up!

The title is a reference to the fact that now I obviously need all the other non-LE giants as well  Guess I'll have to keep an eye on Gumtree!

I figure it's easier to keep my plush brags collected in one thread (especially if the rest show up as quickly as my second has  )

When I first found Rainbow Dash on Gumtree, I noticed another seller in my area had a Sweetberry up for sale as well. Except she wanted $40, which was a bit less tempting than Rainbow Dash. Well, this week I noticed she'd dropped the price down to '$30 (Negotiable)'... long story short, I offered her $25 and she accepted!

Let me tell you, lugging one of these plushes onto a peak hour train is no fun at all. I spent the whole (luckily short) ride anxiously watching people's shoes rub up against her and worrying about their shoe polish 

But I did get her home, and like Dash she's been destuffed and thrown in the wash. I'm happy to say that even though you can see how dirty she started off compared to Dash, she's cleaned up amazingly well and now looks pretty mint if you don't mind the missing mouth thread

I'm holding off restuffing either of these girls until I've sorted things out with my boyfriend re: whether or not I can claim the spare room as a pony/hobby room. If he says I can, I'll restuff them with pipes in their legs and find room for them to stand. if not, I'll restuff them without pipes and maybe use them as beanbag chairs

As a tip - try water pipes in her legs - the plastic pvc ones you get cheap at most hardware stores - cut down to size they work perfect for their legs!
