Hello everyone! My name is Mary Anne and I'm a life long My Little Pony addict.

I was born in 1982, so my favorite toys growing up were my ponies. I had a huge herd of them and I won't lie that my best friend and I came up with some storylines for them that would rival the most melodramatic telenovella. I think the last ponies I bought were from Year Eight. And then I got older, traded into Breyers, sold my ponies thinking I was an adult...and for a short period, maybe four years, I only collected Winnie The Pooh plushies and tigers...thinking that was more adult.

And then G3 happened in 2003. And I fell back into the habit and haven't looked back. I did end up selling a lot of my G3's in about 2006 because I got overwhelmed by the quest to get EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. but now I've been back since 2008 and am steadily rebuilding my old G1 and G3 herds. I've got a lot of the G4's, but have graduated to the point where I get the ponies/sets that I want and don't feel the need to catch 'em all. I save that urge for playing Pokemon.

The reawakening of my pony love in 2003 also lead me into collecting dolls, model horses, and vintage 80s/90s toys. And sometimes a current toy line will catch my eye, like the Zelfs. I am seriously addicted to Monster High and am starting to get into Care Bears, thanks to almost completing my set of the Blind Bag bears.

Outside of toys, I am a bookworm, fandom geek, crafter, music love, horror movie affecinado and basically....just who I am. In my professional life I'm a freelance writer from Michigan, state catchpharse "if you don't like the weather, stay for fifteen minutes and it'll change."

And...I guess that's me in a nutshell. (Help! I'm in a nutshell!) Nice to meet you all!

I did the same thing as you when the G3 line was released and I totally burned myself out for a while - especially when Hasbro began to just churn out variations of the core 7.  After a brief break I rediscovered my pony love and now here I am to stay. 

I had a giggle about the weather in Michigan. I live in the South Island of New Zealand and you pretty much sum up the weather here too.

I've noticed it's pretty common for pony collectors to be really into Monster High and Care Bears, I'm guilty of both as well. It's always fun to catch the pony fever again, enjoy the forums!
