Bubbles! (A Small Brag)

One of my occasional trips to a nearby thrift-store-rich town ended in triumph yesterday. In the toy section of one of the stores I visit on a regular visit, I saw a plastic bag with a very familiar blue and yellow shape inside it, and my mental reaction was pretty much the first line from that one fish in Finding Nemo ("BUBBLLLLLLLES!!!").

As it turned out, Baby Dibbles was also inside (with hair that's still pink!), along with Star Catcher and a non-MLP unicorn beanie. Sure, my pony shelves are nearly filled to capacity, but doggone it, I've never had Bubbles before and Dibbles was just too adorable to leave behind.

that's an amazing find! seriously you guys have like the coolest thrift stores! I've yet to see one G1 MLP at any of mine.

Awww.  Bubbles is one of my favourite G1 ponies. I have been looking for a nice version of her to give to my BFF for ages.  Hopefully I will have your luck and find one in a thrift store! Congrats

I'm sure you've heard the phrase before, but you just have to keep looking. I've only found G1s at the thrift stores in my city a handful of times after dozens of visits (and I found a G2 only once).

I don't care for tinsel in manes either (even though I've had a bit of success with straightening it). It's a crinkly mess on pretty much every pony I've bought from a thrift store.

Yeah -- discovering it was a real "aww!" moment. You probably can't tell from the "before" photo, but Bubbles had a braid too, yet oddly, it was only about 2 cm long.

I don't think she is that uncommon. I've seen her for sale a number of times on these forums.
