The pose is very Rarity, and I really like how the glowing gems are incorporated onto her leg.  I was really concerned this line would be just a rehash of Rainbow Power cutie-mark plastering, but if there's more stuff like this then count me in!

LOL! I must admit, I'm not entirely sold either. I adore the new pose and all the gorgeous hair, but I'm not so fond of a canon character being so "decorated" when that really isn't the way they are. And is it just me or does her head seem oddly stretched? Maybe it's just the way it's tilted....

I don't like how the add-ons at the base of her horn make her look like she has some sort of growth, but I like everything else. I don't think the diamond pattern is too busy since they're all blue (as opposed to the harlequin look of the Rainbow Power design), and I even like the hair. I usually hate that the hair on Rarity toys is multicolored since it's not show/other merchandise-accurate (and none of the other ponies with monochrome hair get the "No! One color is too boring!" treatment!), but that deep burgundy offsets the dark purple so well that I don't mind it.
