Tabbyclaw: In-show, Rarity's hair is mostly gradients. Two separate shades of purple feels to me like a reasonable way of representing that in a toy.

Looks like the CMM line is going to be right up my alley/wallet! I dearly love the old Shine Bright ponies and this looks like a fashion style sized or bigger version, considering she has three rows of hair and the accessories (the diamond barettes and the comb from Rarity's first FS release, and the octagonal gem barettes from Talking Princess Celestia). I just adore her crystalline horn and the extra diamonds, she's a must have!

I hope the light will be a blueish colour instead of red. Would be awesome if she had a nightlight mechanic. Anyways Rarity is always a big want here.

Like others mentioned, I'm really not fond of the tacky cutie mark overload, and her ears/eyes/head are weirdly disproportioned

I love the pose however, though it appears she'll be much bigger than a brushable

The Cutie Pox is when they have a bunch of different Cutie Marks all over which causes a pony to have to do what the mark signifies. I'm not sure what it's called when it's the same mark repeated but I'm sure that something will happen next season involving multiples of the same Cutie Marks. Maybe even the CMC will get their Cutie Marks finally.

LOL! I must admit, I'm not entirely sold either. I adore the new pose and all the gorgeous hair, but I'm not so fond of a canon character being so "decorated" when that really isn't the way they are. And is it just me or does her head seem oddly stretched? Maybe it's just the way it's tilted....

It's not just you're imagination, the head does have something going on with it. They attempted to do the same post as BB Rarity here. The head makes her look more like a deer, which I'm find with since I'm not fond of the pointy stubby snouts they put on the Main characters on the Design a Pony toys.

I don't like how the add-ons at the base of her horn make her look like she has some sort of growth, but I like everything else. I don't think the diamond pattern is too busy since they're all blue (as opposed to the harlequin look of the Rainbow Power design), and I even like the hair. I usually hate that the hair on Rarity toys is multicolored since it's not show/other merchandise-accurate (and none of the other ponies with monochrome hair get the "No! One color is too boring!" treatment!), but that deep burgundy offsets the dark purple so well that I don't mind it.

Huh, bu Rarity has always had the two tone hair color.. the only time she has ever had any other colors in her hair was mostly with the Rainbow lines and whatever line the tinsel hair ponies came from... Otherwise basic Rarity is two tone hair color

Wow, finally a new pose! I wish her cutie mark weren't coming out of her neck, but I guess I can pretend she is a nightlight...
I wish they'd make a plain version (maybe the fakie companies will).  She must be coming out soon if she's already being seen in packaging, guess we'll find out soon!

I just found this in a FYI from Hasbro, it's also an announcement for the Cutie Mark Magic line that's gonna be released in 2015. But they already showed the Rarity! I took a screenshot and she glows BLUE! Yesssss
