I didn't know Dr.Whooves' name was harmful too. Can I ask why so I know? D:

Luckily, Dr. Whooves isn't as harmful as Muffin's, but I'm afraid that Hasbro is trying to appeal to bronies again. I mean, it's okay to acknowdeledge this new audience, but I'm unsure that the main audience (children) will get the reference. Besides, they already have a sort of an official name for him (Time Turner), why using Whooves instead? I don't get it... well, I get it but I think is brony appeal. If somebody has got another theory, go ahead!

The Doctor Whooves thing has always bothered me because I thought it was a huge stretch for people to connect Time Turner to one of the Doctors.  I've also noticed that a lot of Doctor Who fans (at least the ones I know) try to find connections to the show in EVERYTHING that they watch, and it's super annoying.  I guess it also doesn't help that I think Doctor Who is overrated...

I wish Hasbro would've just stuck with Time Turner.  -_-

Well I don't know if that's so bad. Don't get me wrong, I understand how bad bronies are but I don't know if giving them some recognition is bad in and of itself. Unless I'm missing something of course.

Have we talked about this one? Who is this Sweet Dreams filly? Did she have a release before? Do we have any idea of her symbol?

She looks like the filly who was released in that slumber party set with Applejack towards the beginning of G4.  Her name was Star Dreams, I think.  So far as I know she doesn't have a symbol (I don't have her).  She's certainly cute, though!

Hello, I am back to show my newest custom candidate before baiting her.

(sorry for the tipped picture, I can't manage to turn it right :drunk: )

She's got awful marks on her cheeks and horn as you see in the second picture... is this normal? I'm going to name her Scarity. Luckily these don't bother me to make a custom out of her, but I'm sure a child would be a bit dissapointed with her.

By the way, I don't believe you when you say tinsel is untamable... so I'm going to make the Main 6's show hairdo on her, until I get a big mess and my only solution will be cutting her hair   XD

It wasn't on the POPs, it was on a brushable release. But now they are using the name 'Dr Whooves' on Time Turner/the brown male pony and I'm afraid they are trying to throw the wrong bone again
Oh I don't think that the Dr. Hooves name they are using is going to spark any controversy. The deal with the muffin pony was that some people found the fan-made name to be personally offensive, or felt like it was making fun of people with crossed eyes (or something like that).

The only possible problem I would see with using the Dr. Whooves name, would probably have been from the BBC for infringement on their Dr. Who property, but I suspect they may have avoided that by calling him Dr. Hooves...  It's probably also why they didn't swap his tie for a bow...

Plus they use Dr. not Doctor, which is how Doctor Who is always spelled (I know a lot of fans get super angry when anyone shortens it to Dr. or whatever), so they probably avoided it that way as well.

Quick question, does anyone know if all So soft ponies are flocked the same way/same amount?
Because I vaguely recall hearing someone say that one of the sets was softer and more fully-flocked, or something to that effect..?

The first release is different from the second - it must have been a manufacture change :)

So does the first release have softer /longer fuzz?  How are they different?

Sorry, I only have a North Star currently so I can't compare her to anything :p
