It wasn't on the POPs, it was on a brushable release. But now they are using the name 'Dr Whooves' on Time Turner/the brown male pony and I'm afraid they are trying to throw the wrong bone again

The deal with the muffin pony was that some people found the fan-made name to be personally offensive, or felt like it was making fun of people with crossed eyes (or something like that). The only possible problem I would see with using the Dr. Whooves name, would probably have been from the BBC for infringement on their Dr. Who property, but I suspect they may have avoided that by calling him Dr. Hooves... It's probably also why they didn't swap his tie for a bow...
Quick question, does anyone know if all So soft ponies are flocked the same way/same amount? Because I vaguely recall hearing someone say that one of the sets was softer and more fully-flocked, or something to that effect..?
