Stomper HATES being cold! :brr: :cold: With my poor thyroid function, I suffer from cold intolerance. Other people could be comfortable and I'm needing to put on my socks and/or my sweater. I wear socks 24/7 during the winter and even have to wear gloves indoors from time to time.
This ^^^ I've always had hypothyroid and cold intolerance. That's one of the reasons why Arizona works for me. But even in the Arizona winter I sometimes have trouble.

Our house has central heating and cooling. But I am a big fan of blankets. I love having multiple blankets and wrapping like a burrito when at home. We have a couple space heaters but it doesn't usually get cold enough for them.

I would love to feel cold again and see snow :(

It does get chilly for here for a few weeks but extra blankets are all you need. Early this year it got down into the 30s for a couple of days, it was definitely out of the ordinary though. We still didn't turn the heat on - everyone was enjoying it too much

I am always cold year-round and I need to stay warm. I'm on blood thinners and I am anemic so it is hard for me to stay warm (people just assume it's because I'm thin that's the reason I'm always cold). I was raised on the ND/SD border which gets a lot colder than here, so I'm thankful that I don't have to deal with a blizzard every month in the winter anymore.

But we have central heating, a fireplace and space heaters as well as a hot tub that we hop in and run at 100 deg during the chilly nights sometimes. I also bundle up in a lot of layers. You'll even see me wearing fleeces in 80-degree weather because I'm still not warm enough...

I have a furnace/heating throughout the house. I also have fireplaces, then there's the layers of clothes I like to put on and also live in a pile of blankets too. :P

Considering that "cold" for Los Angeles is "anything below 70 degrees" I just use layers. My parents' house has a fireplace we used when it rained which was really nice.

I'm super skinny so I get cold easily. Even sleeping over at work in the dead of summer I wear a kigurumi over a sweatshirt and pajamas topped off with the blanket to stay warm.

I have lots and lots of blankets from when I lived in Alaska. When it would get -40F or colder, my apt wouldn't get warmer then 50. Last winter was bitterly cold in NE NY and I was the only one who was warm.

There is also a forced air thing but my mother ran out of fuel a few times last winter. Didn't bother me with all the blankies I have. There is also a propane? fireplace that she also ran out of fuel for.

Between a fireplace, layers, the occasional furnace use, and a cat I keep pretty warm.

Edit: We also use the plastic over our windows, the improvement is definitely there.

My main concern in cold weather is my hedgehogs, whose cages need to stay around 75 degrees F at all times. I don't mind the cold much and don't like high bills, so I try to keep the heat down pretty low and just layer up! But the hedgehogs have their own heaters.

I love, love, LOVE the cold!  I just snuggle in a few blankets, and I'm set.

The house has central heating, so I just use that.  Besides that, I just bundle up for the winter.

Cold! Bring it on! It's so much easier to deal with being cold in winter than it is to try to cool down in summer.

For some reason, our living room doesn't have doors in the doorframes to the kitchen or the hallway, so come wintertime the only way to keep the heat in is to nail sheets up to the doorframes. It works really well! I also pile on the blankets during the evenings. What better way to go than snuggled up under blankies with a hot cup of tea and a cat for company?

We have radiators but I still layer up. In winter I have been known to "accidentally" leave the central heating on 24 hours a day. Our house is very draughty round the back side, though. It actually rates really low on the energy scale thingy all houses have these days. We used to use the back room as living room and I was always cold and angry, the walls were damp and even celing to floor (10 foot) curtains didn't help. Thankfully the room at the front is crazy well insulated when we shut the door (it turns into a sweat box in minutes!) and is south-facing for free warmth, so we just hide in there in winter! To be honest, the rain is the problem here. It rains so much and it takes all the warmth out of the air and ground. Stupid rain.

Winter...? What's that? Lol.

Winters where I live are probably more like Springs up North. There are cold spells (and sometimes they can actually be fairly cold), but I feel like the average winter high temperature is more along the lines of 50s and 60s Fahrenheit.

When it gets cold I love it. It's so easy to deal with the cold. Bundling up is easy, and I sleep better under covers. The heater doesn't work as well in my room, but I'm okay with that because our heater works just a bit too well in the rooms it does work in and I wouldn't want that because I hate heat.

Although I'm confused by the poll options... What is a radiator, forced air heat (furnace)? We have always just referred to what we have as a 'heater'.
