I hope they do a decent job, the 2010 re-boot was definitely a fail. (Some cute stickers and ponies, but the animation.... shudder...

I hope they copy some of the more successful re-boots like MLP:FIM or THundercats (and steer clear of the SSC reboot which was clearly written for idiots or 2 year olds)

One thing is for certain, a new Rainbow Brite cartoon series means new merchandise! YAY!

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love the 80's version so very much. Ponies, then RB in my book! So many of these re-boots aren't the greatest...

I hope this is better than the last time they re-did Rainbow Brite. I watched a few of the animated shorts and they were terrible imo. I don't think they ever explained everything about why Rainbow Brite couldn't really remember anything at first about Rainbowland.  I'm a fan of the 80's Rainbow Brite doll. I still have mine.

This is exciting, I loved rainbow brite when I was a kid   I think Emily Osments voice could be a good fit for Rainbow.

I was all about Rainbow Brite as a kid. I had most of the dolls (including Tickled Pink - my favorite), Starlite, the cottage, medium and large Sprites, cassette tapes, books, the cartoons on VHS, and various things like stickers and ribbons. I still have all the cartoons on DVD, a Rainbow Brite hairbrush, and a semi-MIB Rainbow Brite doll.

Can you tell how much I love her? The original 80s version, anyway. I didn't like either of the rereleases, and I'm pretty sure I won't like another "modern" rerelease.

Same! RB was a close #2! To be sure, Starlite was my favorite character...  but I just LOVED the colors!! I had an awesome quilt, a few dolls, and two books. That was enough- I just loved her! I went a little overboard buying up lots of her merch later on, and the dolls take up so much space. I'm trying to sell them, and at the same time I want to buy more! 

Well, I'm going to echo that I hope it is more true to the 80s style than other attempts!

Yeah I'm a big fan of the original, I truly hate the 2010 reboot.

I'm hoping they will do better this time around.  I thought the 2003 reboot of the toys (they didn't reboot the cartoon) was okay since they just re-released a bunch of characters that actually looked vintage, but they did a terrible job advertising so I think most of the dolls went directly to clearance.  Ah well.

The 2010 dolls looked like barbies.  I did like the horses, but the dolls were nothing like Rainbow Brite.  Still, they were kind of great anyway because their outfits and shoes fit perfectly onto Blythe

I liked the 2010 dolls except the lack of articulation turned me off. (yet I don't mind with the EQG dolls weirdly enough)
