I quite adore most of the loopsy ponies and prefer them over G4s at this point.
This just made my mind do a happy boggle dance and I thought you'd all appreciate it.

Oh the ponies. The image didn't load right away and at first I thought the post was about the dolls since there is a line of dolls called Lalaloopsy Babies. The dolls are kinda not cute (tho their bottles are adorable since they look like their pets) and have nothing in common with MLP so I was confused.

Honest question:
Is lala loopsy REALLY looking at mlp & then just taking the designs?

I think they had a Fluttershy & a Twilight Sparkle (a peg and a uni, with the pony's colors) as well.
They have blindbags that aren't blindbagged
They have seaponies like G1
Now there's this that has a G1's colors & with the leotard & is that a ballet shoe on that other foot back there?

How much of lala is a coincidence?
Do you think they're doing it on purpose instead?

I'm not complaining them because they are really cute. There is this one random one trying to be a unicorn with an icecreamcone smooshed onto its head that I think is about the cutest. But I just find it odd that they some how do "Very similar to well known character" colors & then make each thing MLP has but with their own style.

Oh wow, what an interesting likeness! Personally I would say it's just a coincidence because that would just be such a completely random pony (and G1, no less) to "copy". But you never know. Maybe it was an inspiration to one Lalaloopsy designer.

I personally love the Lala ponies. They're super cute but in a different way than MLP.

I think it's lovely but probably just a coincidence, with how long MLP has been around I think they have already probably released a pony in just about every color combo imaginable. I own one (the yellow/pink one) but my daughter has a small herd of them.

The color scheme of the Mane 6 is actually not very original. There are G1 Ponies that have the same colors like Posey and Talks a Lot. It's not too far fetched to think that someone who grew up with G1 now works for MGA.
