I have a Robin's nest outside my office window! - June 11 - Momma & Baby

A Robin decided to build her nest on the rafter outside my office window, so I have an almost perfect view of the nest! I plan to take daily pictures and post them in the gallery above, and I'm really hoping I'll get to watch the eggs being hatched! She's kinda become "my robin" and clients like to see her when they come in (I make sure no one approaches too close to the window though!). She picked a perfect little spot, nothing can get her from below as we're over a story high in the air, and the roof hides her completely from the outside elements. Really, the only way you CAN see her is from my window! (she's staring at me right now, actually ) I can't wait for the hatchlings!

So cool! We have a Robin who decided to build a nest right on top of the wreath on our porch xD My brother got attacked by momma Robin when he came home late one night! She flies out of the next every time we open the front door. She has four eggs in her nest I'm doing a summer internship and one of my coworkers is a wildlife rehabilitator. She brings in her hatchlings everyday. She has three Blue Jays, three Robins, and a Starling. It is so cool to see them grown everyday Can't wait to see more pictures of your momma Robin!

Eee! <3 We have a great nest this year too-- on a ladder propped against our garage! I've a little worried, it has to be only 4ft or so off the ground. but the babies keep getting bigger every day!

Awww! Emberly that's so cute! Great angle to see inside the nest too! My nest is just a little too high to really see inside without falling out of the window! LOL  I can't wait to see when she lays her eggs, it's gotta be anytime now.  It's just so neat to be able to just look behind me and see her cuddled in her nest.

Todays updates are posted, it was suggested to call the daddy "Elvis" cause of his headfeathers looking pretty slick. He's very protective, the minute momma leaves the nest, he shows up! Usually just to squawk!

That's awesome! I think it beats that time we had a hummingbird make a nest in our tree in AZ. She was very high and so we couldn't see into it. But we did see her sitting in that nest quite a lot. Such a teeny little thing.

I like birds. Elvis is a great name for Mr. Robin.

I watch birds too , that come to my courtyard ,there is lots to eat for them I guess here, because I see doves,Blue Jays and Cardinals often
I have tried to take pics but they get spooked and my phone gets bad pics if they are not close , the zoom in it does a very poor job

how lucky!! I love it!! I had hummingbirds that I see sometimes around my house but babies?! SO CUTE!

Sorry this one kinda sucks, I was trying to get both of them in the same shot without scaring them. You can't really see momma's nest, but that's where it's sitting. (and yes, my window is filthy, I can't reach that far out to clean it LOL)
