Hi everyone!

I'm from France (hence my nickname), I'm 32 (well, in a few days) and I have a 3,5 YO amazing daughter.

I don't really know how to qualify myself. I wouldn't say I'm a collector although I realise I bought 40 ponies in the last few weeks! Haha! I had (and still own) 2 ponies growing up: Peachy and her Pretty Parlour and Honeysuckle. I've always been the nostalgic kind but the ponies thing started when I was wandering around flea markets for my daughter. That's why I don't consider myself a collector, I just buy ponies on flea markets and don't have any "targets" in mind. Well, that being said, I know it can get addictive: in spite of the fact that I don't really like G2 ponies (I prefer G1 and G3) I have around 20 of them! How did that happen?!? I just love it when I get dirty-beyond-redemption ponies and make them look (almost) brand new. Speaking of which, I'll try to be more patient and restore them properly from now on because for example, I removed the shine from my Baby Nightsong wanting to clean it with acetone (please don't yell). Oh well! Then they're for my daughter to play with, I don't put them on display but sometimes, when she's done playing with them and she sleeps, I go brush them so that they're nice and ready for their next playdate. Shh... So right now we own about 20 G2, 20 G3 and 3 G1.

Hello and welcome

You certainly sound like a collector to me!  Picking up ponies in random places is lots of fun, especially if you happen to be rescuing them from being thrown out.  I feel your pain about baby Nightsong too. I guess it's something we've all done while we were learning. I once threw out some hard to find accessories because I didn't realize they were pony related.  *head desk*

Welcome . I felt the same way about G2's when I first started collecting ! But now they are my favorite generation .
