Ponydex.com Is Gone?!

It's been about a month or so since I last logged in...and now it's gone?

Yup, I noticed that when I tried to log in this morning.

I've contacted the owner about it via PM here, but she hasn't logged in here for a while, so I'm not expecting anything to happen too soon.

My guess is, that a payment for the domain is due.

I hope it's up and running again soon!    There aren't many "checklist" sites for MLP... plus Ponydex's sibling website was for collecting stamps - I love them both so I would be sad if the site disappeared.

Honestly I haven't used it in forever so I'm not too worried about it. I have my photobucket to help me keep track, and I printed some Checklists awhile back and that has me pretty organized...I would like to see it return though...

What??? No That's the only place I have a log of my collection. I've been meaning to make an Excel spreadsheet but I hadn't gotten around to it

I've tried to sign up several times, and never got approval, so I figured they'd abandoned it long ago - although I hope not for the sake of those who used it regularly.

Its been a while since I saw the owner around the boards to be honest. However this has happened before and its just been real life which has caused the problem - hopefully she will be back and get everything up and running again

I've made my own, private Pony Dex of sorts on my computer... just keep a folder with subfolders for each gen and post my pictures in there.  I have hand-written pages of the details of each pony's condition in a physical file, too.  I am pretty bummed, because my efforts had been in preparation of making a page on ponydex.com

Aw, what a shame I was just going to update mine and noticed it had gone. I hope it comes back as I dread to think how many hours/days/weeks/months/years it would take me to re-enter all the info onto another site, lol.

I was just thinking that this morning. That site really was perfect and now I'm thinking what would be the best way to keep record. I like Katika's idea, and that supplemented with checklists for each generation might be a good offline alternative. I'm not sure yet. I have over 800 ponies and many are in storage; the thought of starting over is quite daunting and I'm not sure where to start.

That's so sad You can still see the list of members and how many ponies they had each stored on Archive.org but none of the actual pages were saved so clicking a name just comes up empty.

Bunny-san is her username on the Arena. But I think the site was run in association with her partner. She has not logged on to the Arena for 5 or 6 months however so I am not sure if anyone will manage to reach her here.

When this has happened in the past she does normally come back and get things sorted - real life really does get in the way sometimes, as we all know
