The big Simba bank I found at the thrift store a few weeks ago. He is in gorgeous condition. I just need to goo gone that price tag off. He's officially licensed by Disney and made by Enesco Group.

Baby Simba is just marked with 'Bone China', 'Disney', and 'Taiwan'. I've had him for ages. He's one of the few survivors of my childhood TLK collection.

I don't know if I want to sell either of them, particularly baby Simba. I tried researching ceramic TLK stuff on eBay but couldn't find either of these two.

Oh, thanks for the tip! I'm not sure what the tape method is though.

not sure if that's what its called, but
using your nails to get as much of the paper part off as possible and then using a piece of tape, dabbing it against the sticky part, to get the adhesive off.
it's more time consuming, but won't lesson the value.

Ceramic, porcelain? I really need to research the different one day if there is one. But he does seem to have a glossy finish so better safe than sorry.

Actually, I'd suggest laying a soaked and soapy sponge across it for several minutes. Alot of price tags the glue will actually dissolve away with soap and water. If that doesn't work, baby oil will remove the sticky goo gently.

Exactly what I was going to say! They are lovely pieces, I love baby Simba!

Baby oil or olive oil are the best way to remove stickers Those are awesome - not sure I would part with them if they were mine

Thanks for the advice. I actually have some baby oil for another project of mine. Had no idea goo gone could be so harmful!

After checking eBay (search term 'Enesco Simba'), it looks like the bank is worth roughly $10 (there's one for auction and three more as BIN's on eBay right now, highest priced at $14.99). He's a beauty, congrats! I'd keep him, too

I happen to have that exact baby Simba (as well as a whole mess of Disney Store LK ceramics).  I wanted to figure out the value of them a few months ago and did some research on eBay/Amazon/Random Disney forums.

Unfortunately, there isn't a demand for them...like...at all   I would value it at $5.  If you like it: keep it.

Oh, and Baby Simba was available at the Disney Store in 1994.  Retail value was somewhere around the $10 mark.

Honestly, I'm kind of relieved I don't have any hidden treasures here haha because I'm very fond of them both. Some TLK merch goes for loads and I kick myself every day for not keeping my childhood collection away from Mom Cleaning Sprees (TM) so I wanted to be sure. For those prices I'm just going to keep them.

If you were within driving distance id nab the bank from you.  My childhood one got sold awhile ago
