Obscure Kids Shows
« on: February 26, 2014, 01:50:21 PM »
What was your favorite kids movie/show as a kid that was obscure or not really heard of?

My favorites were The Phantom Toll Booth and Rikki Tikki Tavi

There was also a little kids set called Wee Sing and they were pretty good for little kids. :)

Oh i love both of those films. I remember reading The Phantom Toll Booth in gradeschool. I have a copy lying around one of my shelves.

For me I'd have to say Once Upon a Forest. I watched every time I went to my grandparents.
Also Charlotte's Web 2.

Rikki Tikki Tavi was one of the first DVDs I ever bought. I've always loved that film :)

I don't know how obscure Zoobilee Zoo was? I think it was Canadian but it was also shown in the US at some point. I loved that show as a kid. The costumes were amazing. My favorite character was Bravo Fox  ^.^

Zoobilee Zoo!
Zoobilee Zoo!
Magic and Wonder are waiting for you!

I never saw much of the show as a kid, but I never could forget the opening/theme song to it. :D Always liked Whazzat Kangaroo.

Oh!  And Pinwheel!
If Space Cases is the show I am thinking of, i had part of the song stuck in my head for years and couldn't figure out where it came from until TeenNick aired the show a few years ago as part of New Years Snick. xD
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D

If you want a zombie bunny, or a pussycat mummy, a vampire froggy or a skeletony doggy~

Dr. Zitbag's Transylvania Pet Shop! So obscure it was never released on DVD, had limited VHS releases and about 3/19 episodes to be found anywhere on the net. I loved that show.

Also, possibly not the most obscure, but: Donkey Kong Country! I also used to really love Playdays, not sure how obscure that one is.

I don't think I watched anything obscure. I loved Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, The Electric Company, and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. And of course I watched all the Saturday morning cartoons: Looney Tunes, Punky Brewster (the live TV show and the cartoon), Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Snorks, Muppet Babies, etc. I remember watching My Little Pony cartoons in the morning before school. ;)

Tabaluga. And, ReBoot. Not sure how obscure they are but...I loved Oscar's Flying Orchestra (I think that's the title. It was about a flying piano), the original Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon, and Biker Mice from Mars
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

I loved her too but I half wondered if she was a cat, because she always made cat noises.  :P

I watched those too, except The Snorks.  I also watched The Elephant Show and a show I can't remember...it had a guy that was hiking through the woods and eventually went through a log into his like secret place and he educated kids on stuff.   Not very helpful but it's all I can remember.
