Thrift store score!! EDIT: Cleaned up!

First let me say that I live in Washington and there's almost never any ponies at my thrift stores. I don't know if they're all snatched up for Seattle Goodwill online or what.

Today we stopped by the thrift store and I'd already glanced over the toy section and hadn't seen anything. BUT....on the end cap where the little crafty stuff was I spotted this!

I wasn't going to get anything but I knew I had to get her! And she was only $1.29. More than I'd probably pay for a G3 or G4 but for a G1 it was worth the splurge, lol. I think she'll clean up well and looks to have only had a minor trim.


Ok, so I gave her a quick scrub with a magic eraser on the non painted areas and as rub with a toothbrush and dish soap on her whole body then shampooed and conditioned her hair.

I could sunfade her to get her wing tips, mouth and feet looking better but overall I think she's turned out pretty great.

Oh, nice! Such a pretty pony, and not the easiest to find. Yeah, I bet most of the ponies in that area are put up on the Goodwill auction site. Kind of sad. Congrats on your find!

It is sad. I never find ponies. I think I found one of the cuties once and that was it. I certainly didn't expect to find Yum Yum of all possible ponies. I browsed the toy isle one more time after finding her just to make sure I wasn't overlooking any of her friends.

This was a nice little pick me up as the last few weeks haven't been great. My husband locked his keys in our truck 30 minutes away at a casino at 9 o'clock at night. We had to get one of his work buddies to lend me their car to take him another set of keys.
I spent my 13th anniversary at the dealerships with two kids getting our truck fixed.
And yesterday I found out my Mom has Lupus.

So finding Yum Yum was a nice little bright spot.

She's clean! I think her hair looks slightly more pink in person but overall she looks great.
