So....How do you send RAOPKs?

I have a *huge* box of doubles in my wardrobe that is going absolutely no where and I'm fed up looking at! I figure I could send some gifts to people, maybe from wantlists or something, but how do ye even organise it? I mean getting addresses etc...I see RAOPK posts in the brag arena but I'm a bit lost on where the senders might have gotten addresses! Weird question in the corral topic for the day I know!
Would I be better off just running a free competition or something?

There might be people who you sold to or traded in the past and you know they would appreciate a pony - then you don't have to worry about getting an address Sometimes you have to be more sneaky and ask the Mod Team for help or look at the feedback of the person you want to surprise with RAOPK and see if some of the past traders will be willing to help you out. Or try to contact the person you know that is looking for one pony and tell them you want to give them something because you find them an awesome pony person

You can sometimes ask us as we may know - not always but sometimes . But more often or not checking feedback, seeing if the person you are sending to has been in a swap or even contacting some of their Arena friends is the best way to track down an address!

What a generous thing to think about doing - I am sure you will make some people very happy if you go ahead!

Wasn't there a Yahoo group for RAOPKs at one time ? I'm pretty sure that's how I got one back in 2008 or so. Is it not maintained anymore ?

Thanks for all the suggestions! I thought about pm'ing a mod to ask but I didn't want to freak anyone out lol, I know a few people I'd like to send to already, a couple who sent me ROAPKs before but I've lost addresses over time..

I'm going to get onto this, I'll probably pm you at some stage @Hathorcat because with you being a swap host I'd say you might have a few

I scour want lists and then pm them, asking if its okay to send them a surprise

I love seeing RAOPK and I have wanted to send some myself, but I've always wondered how you go about getting the addresses.

Guess it really is just as simple as asking or using an address you already have. Don't know why I thought there was some super secret way.

When my doubles box was a little overwhelming and I needed feedback, I did a contest- Guess the Pony- and if someone guessed one of the ponies in the box, they won the pony. The only requirement was that they had to leave feedback for me- it doesn't look like you need the feedback too badly, but it was a really fun contest!

It's very sweet of you to try to find good homes for your ponies! Good luck!
