Who here would support more male character releases, I find it odd that in the show it's about 50/50 male and female ratio, and we have only had one male released. Why haven't we had Big Mac yet from Hasbro?

I didn't include Funko in the count as this is a hasbro poll and brushables, but as for funko we only have 1 male so far which is Dr. Whooves who is also an earth pony, and Big Mac on the way who is also an earth pony. Do you think we will ever get a male pegasus release who will be the first ever? Soarin maybe? Who do you think?

So many characters to chose, but alas only mane 6 I see in the future. Do more characters Hasbro!!! I would buy it, since g4 brushables has a lack of boys.

Technically speaking, Re Unicorno (Italian variant of Majesty) was the first male unicorn :p.

There was also another other mail order boy you didn't list, Clipper. Plus, some of the later UK/Euro ponies were boys, albeit in girl molds (Sportstime, Baby Schoolbag and the Family Friends daddies; Sniffles was said to be a boy in the UK comics but I'm not sure if his gender was stated either way elsewhere); Doodles' backcard says he's a boy, too.

But anyway, to answer your question, it'd be great if they finally released a male pegasus!! I'd definitely buy him if I liked his design .

edit: Oh, I just remembered! There's an Argie variant of Baby Ribbs that's a pegasus, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a girl or a boy? I don't know too much about Argies, haha.

editedit: And to answer your other question - yes, there were five G2 boys, including Baby Sunshine (Six if you count Prince Clever Clover as a seperate character)

I'm actually surprised they haven't done a Big Mac brushable yet! Shining Armor's mold isn't perfect, but if they just lopped the horn off it would make a decent BM. And since Hasbro is so fond of re-releases, they could easily make a Sweet Apple Acres set with AJ, Apple Bloom, and Big Macintosh. I'm sure people would snap it up just for him. Heck, they could even reuse the barn from the first AJ playset.

I'm not personally bothered by the lack of boy pony toys. There have always been significantly more female characters in the toy line than males. I don't think kids really care anyway. People on here often talk about how canonically female ponies were made dads and husbands in their childhood herds. Although I guess that's more difficult to do in G4 since a lot of kids will be attached to who the characters are in the show. All the more reason to make Big Mac then.

As far as pegs go, I think Soarin and Thunderlane are both big possibilities from Funko. Thunderlane was popular enough to get a blind bag and so did Soarin, technically, but his was a generic Wonderbolts one. Plus they've already made Spitfire, it seems only right to make Soarin to go with her! I think they're less likely from Hasbro given how they're still shying away from boy pony brushables, even significant(ish) characters like Big Macintosh. Then again, I could see them making a Wonderbolts set with painted on clothes like Shadowbolt Dash.

Personally, I have my fingers crossed for Hoity Toity. Funko or brushable. He's my favorite.

I would only buy G4 boy ponies if they had normal pony hair and not that feathery junk like they glued to Shining Armour's head.

0.0! that would be awesome! so long as he doesn't have a bratz boys type of jaw line.
though i'd still buy him, just shave down the plastic and use apoxie to sculpt his face better
